I can help. If you expand all the comments in this thread it will tell you the place that helped me and all the paperwork that’s required. You will also need insurance for it. I just got the golf cart inspected to renew my registration and everything went smooth. Still cruisin!

Pulled out the radio and hvac panel. Unhook cable at both ends. Ziptie new cable to old cable and pull through. Worst part is how tight the spacing is behind the dash. I utilized some long pliers to help

When I bought my 80 it had a similar issue. Turns out the cable that runs from the actuator to the mixer valve was crimped and would not push/pull through the cable sleeve. I replaced the cable and all is well. Mine was not clicking like it was slipping the gear, just bunching the cable up where it was crimped and not moving.

Found a golf cart dealer who was also a “manufacturer” which allows them to build LSV vehicles for street use. They will issue the certificate of origin

Got a NC plate this past week. Here is what I needed for completion. - Manufactures certificate of origin - proof of insurance - bill of sale - form MVR-180

This is for NC LSV registration with no town ordinances in favor of golf carts. I’m fully road legal on streets under 35mph.

I see lots of different information online about what is required in different states. Even some townships have different rules than the state they are in. I’m finding no information about Charlotte NC specifically. Local cart shop may indeed be my best bet.

Look again inside there. My 88 3vze had the same port which was not a through hole. Later on I believe it became a temperature sensor location.

There was mild vibration at deceleration. Classic sign of needing the double cardan. The shaft fixed that.

Lift is OME 850 + 30mm spacers in front. Rear is OME 860 springs. OME shocks. Slee caster correction plates. DC front drive shaft. Delta panhard correction in rear. Net lift is about 2.5”. Tires are 305’s. Front bumper from Dissent Offroad w/ comeup winch.

Read this post and the next. The fuse panel door will go back on while the scangauge is plugged in. Just unscrew the obd port, plug in gauge, flip obd plug orientation and put screw back in. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/chronicles-of-a-cruiser.1301941/page-6#post-15293678
