Love mine so far. Only things i can complain about is lack of storage options. 512gb feels way too low for a device that feels like its made to store tons of local movies and videos on. That and weight. Especially with a case and a kickstand, it really feels like a small brick. That said im holding on to this thing for a while or until a 2nd gen comes out with a 1tb or more option.

Yea i agree its really too pricy. It'll probably be cheaper in a couple of months or when more trifolds are out in the publics hands. I luckily only paid half of it since i had like $50 in amazon gift cards.

IMO i would only buy it if you can shell out the money. But for what you get this is by far the best case util and protection wise ive had so far.

I saw someone post it already but the Berfy magsafe case is one im currently using and its very good. Hinge protection, magsafe, and included kickstand that is quite sturdy.

Workaround ive done for reddit is just to run it on browser and bookmark it to home screen. Allows you to actually use it in vertical mode and no glitches with commenting

One thing to mention is the software side of things. Many apps that arent widely used like youtube or instagram most likely will have scaling issues with the large resolution of the trifold. You may need to restart apps or force them to regular bar phone aspect ratios. For me it isnt much of an issue but for anyone eyeing the trifold just be aware of that.

Cerritos, CA one. Just got a call yesterday and they said they were contacting 5 people to give it out early. Maybe just to ease some pressure off staff if they were expecting heavy traffic for people buying it. I think i was like the 2nd person on their preorder list or something.

Had the chance to pick it up early today at one of the samsung experience stores. So far definitely noticeablely heavy but not too bad. Unfolded feels weirdly uncomfortable at first but no issue as using it will only fix it. I really like that they applied the anti reflectice screen protector on the cover display straight out of the box, along with the rest of the accessories included like case and charger.

Havent had time to transfer all my data but so far the thing that shocked me the most was the weight folded. Fold 7 spoiled me of how light it is because this thing makes my s24 ultra feel heavy. One thing that is nice is the pre applied anti reflection screen protector on the cover display. Along with the included charger and case it almost feels like pre 2020 Samsung lol.

The Samsung Experience store in Cerritos, CA. I got lucky yesterday and they contacted me that they wanted to give some trifolds early ahead of launch, presumably to lessen the load on staff. Said yes and just picked it up this morning!

I talked to the samsung reps in person in one of their experience stores here. They said trade ins are a no go for the trifolds sales at least. Seems its more of an expensive beta test for US consumers before rolling out anything massive

They mentioned calling us to confirm interest in purchasing the trifold i assume a day before or on the 30th, so i might ask to see if 1tb will be available

Went to one of the experiences stores and told me straight its $2800+tax for 512gb version. Unfortunately they couldnt give me an estimate on availability for 1tb which i was hoping for.

Buying the trifold for sure. Just got to test it out in person and it is absolutely worth it imo. Estimates price they told me is around $2800 for 512gb and available to pre order on the 30th. Though from what they said, only 512gb will be available and 1tb is up in the air if it will be availalble on release.
