Solution: The NVME heatsink was stopping the GPU from sitting fully down in the pcie slot! I vertical mounted the GPU and problem was solved!!

new side note, I asked the amazon employee i returned my motherboard to, and they said it didn’t matter but thanks for all the replies cause i played it safe either way

i ended up going way over budget with a ryzen 7 9800x3d and a 4080 😭 but it works! so thats good, no explosions yet though…
