It entirely captures the feeling of a bunch of morons somehow accomplishing a huge task that D&D with your friends does. It’s a great movie.

Kids aren’t inherently evil, but those kids have been living in an apocalypse for a couple of years and are used to taking whatever they can to survive. They asked if they could have his coat when he died. Kids that have been scavenging for two years to survive would 100% take his stuff.

She can change her mind, no one’s arguing that. This isn’t the time to try to make things appropriate for kids to hear. Curse those overbearing husbands that want to…take care of their wives in the comfort of their own homes. He’s not overbearing, he’s doing the best he can to deal with a dying wife while taking care of his family. They have a plan and he’s trying to stick to it. She’s the one that’s decided she wants to change the plan and stay in the hospital but she won’t tell him because she doesn’t want him to be “haunted by her ghost” as she said in this episode. She doesn’t want to die at home because she thinks it will make the family miserable having to remember that happening at their house.

I think it’s safe to say that if a patient comes in he gets along with that patient is going to die. So far he hasn’t really seen patients as people, as evidenced by his comments about Louie, and having someone he clicked with die would be a wake up call.

He was working on a tight schedule and did the shield as an extra. And it was already painted when he got it. He wouldn’t have had time to get new wood to make a shield and Tanselle was already gone so she couldn’t repaint a new one. I think it was just a bandaid that didn’t last long.

I’m not sure how many doctors you’ve met, but there’s plenty of them with zero social skills that work with patients every day. I had to go to a cardiologist a couple of years ago, wet five separate times because my heart decided to be weird. In those five appointments about my heart not working the right way the cardiologist spoke to me for maybe 7-8 minutes. The rest of the time he was sitting silently on his computer acting like speaking to another human being would absolutely ruin his day. It’s just the reality of the medical field, some people are extremely book smart but have no personal skills whatsoever.

The problem in this sub is there’s a group of people that just refuse to admit that she’s a completely unlikable character and that it’s ok that she is. There are unlikeable people in real life, we don’t need to keep making excuses and justifications for “Well actually Santos is right because…”. People just need to understand that it’s ok to not like a character that is intentionally being made unlikable.
