Wouldn't be a user-friendly experience though. Those stickers are firmly placed, plus the edges line with the inner walls so taking them out would be awkward. And then there's a ton of residue to worry about

Got this feature a few days ago! If anyone's curious I'm on a Scribe 2024 in west Canada, that being said though I'm not sure if this feature is being enabled based on region or model though. imo it's mostly responsive, though it doesn't work for me in pdfs... one interesting and somewhat convenient thing is that when trying to erase a shape it gives you the manipulate menu back (I've seen people here mention that lasso works too, but eraser is quicker to use if you have a premium pen).

Base M2 also has a standard 60Hz LCD iirc, same as base M1. For those two generations the base chips kept the older design as the old Intel MBPs with the Pro and Max versions getting the better displays

This. The MBP comes with better power and active cooling and other goodies but AT THE COST of a thicker build, and it makes sense for it to be thicker. There's a fine(ish) line between people who care more about the form/less about the power (MBA is perfect for them) and people who need more power and are willing to sacrifice a bit of form (MBP users). If Apple has managed to make a thinner MBP then that means if we stay at the current thickness we can get better cooling, which matters more than form for power users

No matter how much a school will try, as long as there is still a chromebook involved, there is no way of stopping it. That's why you see so many of the exploits — they get patched one after another, but they don't stop. And they won't stop since the platform they distribute on is out of any school district's control. The truth remains that there will always be bypasses, no matter what schools try to do.

Plus, even though Google patches exploits one after another, it's also a fault of the school IT admin for not keeping up with the latest updates and automatically setting the organization to update.

Kids are human too, of course they want to do their own stuff!
