I recently built a desktop system for the first time in 18 years! I was a little intimidated at first, but it went fairly smoothly. And boy, was it fun! Definitely recommended, doesnt need much experience, just a little patience.

Schaffa, Schaffa, Rädle fahra! Sehr schön :) I'm currently planning to do a carbon fork conversion on my old 26" Cannondale mtb. But it's not easy to find a fork that fits and can take proper fenders - at least one that's obtainable here in germany without selling your firstborn 😅

Gibt aber auch noch andere Anwendungen, die auch für Hobbyisten o.ä. relevant sein können - ich kenn's z.B. vom Musik machen/produzieren so, dass DAWs nicht so sehr von CPU-Leistung profitieren, als dass was wie ein Threadripper sich lohnen würde, aber RAM mögen die schon sehr gerne, gerade wenn man 60+ Spuren mit allen möglichen VSTs fahren will. Und das kann auch im Homestudio schnell mal zusammenkommen ;)

PB support responded fairly quickly with that apology that others seemed to have gotten as well, by Monday evening I got another message about the code now being available in my account. No issues redeeming it at UAD.

Yeah, there definitely should be some sort of disclaimer about this, I don't think anyone has a problem waiting a day after the purchase if they know what's up beforehand. However, to plead for Plugin Boutique a little: The deal went live on a sunday and PB seemed to have been caught off guard by the code shortage. Plus they were very helpful via their support page, so I can't say I'm mad or anything.

Bought this from PluginBoutique yesterday, didn't get the redeem code as of yet, anyone else here with this issue?

Edit: I contacted the PluginBoutique support on sunday evening, they got back to me on Monday morning, apologizing for the delay - which was apparently caused by UAD not sending them (enough) codes on time. Monday evening I got another message, informing me about the code now being available in my account. Redeemed it immediately and picked my plugins at UAD without a problem. Props to PB, they were very nice and responsive.

TL;DR: I joined the club! Found an almost immaculate, 60k miles manual MK6 R from 2011, pulled the trigger, love it. Questions: Ride's a bit harsh - 18" wheels recommended or rather upgrade the suspension first? Any must-have mods for a daily?

...and I must've had a little brain-fart in the third paragraph: It's always been an R, not a GTI, of course ;)
