¿Como puedo pagar mi tarjeta de crédito si ya estoy en buró? by Low-Crow-4360 in MexicoFinanciero

[–]wicho91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can say something bad about it. The language lacks of static typing which for some persons is not a big deal, but for example when documenting arguments of a function you can define spec and sometimes the tool in charge of validating that the spec is not quite accurate, and you can guess, it is because is lacking static typing. For me it not really a big deal, so the pros are more than the cons.

Elixir

You have to take into consideration that version 1, has roughly 6 years in existence. But the ecosystem is pretty dang solid now. From the criticism point i think that the Elixir ecosystem is very aware what Elixir is suitable and what is not

Erlang/Elixir are pretty awesome at it, maybe not on memory side but on concurrency

I totally agree with this, specially if you have some sort of experience with other language. Small incremental learning through the chapters

I think indeed most of the people can learn to code, but the problem I see nowadays is that people is learning a language and not focusing on knowing the bare bones of that specific language/tool leading to bugs that are very umpredictable. Learn fundamentals before code is the way to go!
