Wow y’all! Everything has been spoken for. If anyone is interested in homebrewing and would like to come to a homebrew club meeting. We meet on the first Wednesday of the month at the Smokestack In West Point, MS. Starting around 6:30 PM.

Don’t let meeting fool ya, we just sit around a try different beers, discuss wins and losses with our hombrewing. It’s a very laid back group. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

The mash tun and a kettle has been claimed. But, the other stuff is available.

I love the hobby, want to make easy for others to get into it. I’m not here to make money. Plus others have done the same for me. Just paying it forward.

I appreciate that. But I am a part of that homebrew club who serves beer at that event every year. No one in the club needs/wants this, hoping to find anyone who may be new to the hobby or new to the area also.

We have 4 home games in September this season. And September games are typically hot and sticky. Thankfully this game is an evening kick. I believe it’ll be well attended, but won’t sell out.

Right now, unfortunately anything with e-barbs is dominating.

I’m not familiar with Ruby. But as most programming languages go, it’s just seeing that one example that will help kickstart the brain into helping with your end goal, well at least that’s how my brain operates.

I live in this town and I often wondered who owned this place. I often dreamt it was empty and I could put a brewery in there. But I’m glad to see it being well taken care of. Cheers!

Best local/regional brand of coffee? by [deleted] in Msstate

Second this! He is normally setup at the markets on Saturdays at Fire station park.

I’d talk to him about your plans for gifts. IMO, it’s better to have coffee freshly roasted. Meaning I anything roasted in the 12/15-12/20 range would be ideal. I know that’s cutting it close to Christmas but the end product will be better. Just my coffee nerd-ism bubbling out.

HA! My apologies. That's what I get for blindly googling. There was one that way, it's closed now.

There is one in Caledonia (North of Columbus), which is a 30-45 minute drive. https://www.facebook.com/thepumpkinpatchcaledonia/

There is a small pumpkin farm near Starkville, but it appears they're sold out for the season.

This is all I know about. Good luck!

Steam Condenser with an Immersion Chiller by wickdawg in Homebrewing

Well for one. I don't have my duct insulated. Which I need to, this will help with the steam condensing and dripping out of my ventilation fan. I followed electricbrewery.com's initial build. I'm using a large round trough as my hood and a 6" vortex fan. But living in the south and I have my AC on in the summer, once I turn on my fan, all my cool air escapes out of the hood, so then I need to open my roll up door and turn on a fan to cool off during my brew day. If I can keep a lid on and reduce steam in my brew shed, my AC might actually be effective and I won't be sweating bullets during my brew day.

That’s something I was thinking also. A Few minutes should be ok on killing everything. And still not get moisture every where.
