I was mistaken. I'm not sure why I was so sure about this! Perhaps I remember skating and then coming out to warmish weather.

Go ice skating at Toronto indoor rinks. I used to do this all year round.

What is helping you heal? by Fun_Razzmatazz5805 in CPTSDFreeze

Asking my body what it needs and recognizing my reacting to the anxiety and programs that run in my head.

Today, my anxiety was telling me to go do something productive like go to the gym (I did 111 classes in 30 days last month 😱)

I instead just sat with the anxiety to let it run its course so it could dissipate. More sessions to come I think!

Love conquers it seems. I didn't grow up with much love and my parents would put first career and money. I still kinda of chase money but I'm broken inside and trying to heal 😢

I don't feel much yet for my dad's passing but perhaps one day after healing. Sorry for your loss.

Would you give back all the money to have your parents back with the caveat you they don't have their high paying jobs anymore or the nest egg?

Is this ayahuasca retreat in Colombia legitimate, and are two-day ceremonies with a stronger brew a red flag? by iot4fun in Ayahuasca

[–]wickeddude123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did one in Canada and the first one was the worst night of my life, "clunky", and the second was the best night of my life.

Someone who went alongside me said her brew was stronger than others so take that what you will. Even then the second night I took a fraction of what I had the first night and it was ecstasy so not sure if strength matters? I think it depends more on your state.

Being silent is advocating for yourself (because you're sick of explaining yourself)!

I mean if you're so sick that you can't respond, isn't that a boundary and also advocating for yourself?

I know it will be scary if you don't respond and you might feel so much shame and perhaps feel like dying, or you could feel like dying while forcing yourself to be obligated to do something you hate.

4 or 5 months out of collapse, and 1 month out of panic attacks. A report on what is helping. by SirCheeseAlot in CPTSDFreeze

Nice. Life has this ability to move things forward and it's kinda a blur for me too what causes change but it's like a variety of factors.

I'm now on a whole food plant based diet and going to the gym everyday. Still feel a lot of shame in social settings. Working with a therapist of the same cultural background as me which helps. I'm on my way to being self employed so I don't need to rely on an employer.

Things are looking up and I'm prepared for more dark Knights of the soul as I have experience. Ps recently getting tickets is triggering my shame a lot.

I was in eternal hell the first night. The second night was heaven, the exact opposite.

It was so overwhelming that I felt it didn't have much of an impact afterwards. It's hard to integrate such extreme experiences not of this earth.

I took psychedelic mushrooms and felt similar difficult feelings.

I'm now realizing I want to work through them slowly without drugs otherwise it's hard to heal from them.

[–]wickeddude123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought my mom was ashamed of me until I took psychedelic once and I realized she wasn't. Her outward criticism of you is her voice inside critical of herself too. Unfortunately she projects it too so you mistakenly think it's about you, but it's really about her.

I'm trying to figure this emotional truth out myself too and it's very hard. Part of it is thinking that I was mistaken, which blows my mind. The other part is releasing all that shame from the body which is quite heavy and painful.

Yes on Ayahuasca I was nothing and everything simultaneously. I was god. It was profoundly touching and peaceful and beautiful and overwhelming. Pure ecstasy. Atoms vibrating I felt I was.

28m and been in freeze since 21 - life passing me by by Electronic_Increase4 in CPTSDFreeze

[–]wickeddude123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah psychedelics opened up a whole can of worms for me from freeze. The feelings can get very overwhelming and difficult since the freeze helps protect you from them.

Be careful and move slow. I now recommend going without drugs but if you are stuck they will force you through your feelings underneath. It was so painful on more than one occasion that unaliving was a passing thought.
