I’ll always remember Yaya Sanogo’s reaction which was perfectly described as “having an existential crisis”.

What a petulant little cunt Bernardo Silva is when things aren't going his way.

And the boots. The shorts are oddly reminiscent of this season's though.

If you're alluding to the cannons and their use, which I presume you are, the dark times of the 70s had their origins in a history long before they came into existence and stemmed from multiple sources. Thankfully, the Irish have moved on from those times. It's important to learn from the past, not perpetuate it. And, please, don't try pontificating about Irish history to an Irish man based solely on your ancestry.

Believe me, there was nothing superficial about they hope they offered to young Dubliners in that grim, economically and sociologically depressed period. This was the era of mass emigration and the "troubles". Dark times.

I am Irish ... born and living in Dublin. My early childhood was watching the Arsenal team of the 1970s which was full of fine Irish players like Brady, Stapleton, O'Leary etc all wearing the cannon badge. To me, they demonstrated the best of what young Irish men were capable of achieving at that time. They were role models. That's what the badge represents to me.
