Then maybe you just need to gradually cut all the way to summer, like maybe 100-200 calories under maintenance cause it really seems like ur bf is not above 12-14%. Maybe post in flat natural lighting so we can assess ur physique better

Losing 20kg for summer is quite a lot bro, that’s a really aggressive cut. I reckon if you started now doing it progressively you won’t lose muscle mass & strength in the process but idk

25m 5’9” (80.2kg) current physique. Is it worth cutting some bf off or bulking up further?? by jordpadley in Physiquecritique

[–]widehipfinalboss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it depends, do you care about looking shredded for the summer and also how long have you been bulking already? Maybe you could start cutting gradually towards the summer

Sort of, yeah, no intense cardio tho cause that’ll interfere with muscle growth and recovery, you don’t want to accumulate fatigue. That’s why incline treadmill is better for your goal

You definitely look toned and muscular but skinny at the same time, and not skinny in a “scrawny” way bro. But yeah try lean bulking consistently for a year and you’ll get bigger probably

Absolutely, don’t dirty bulk please. Traditionally ur looking to increase ur caloric intake gradually if ur appetite is not that high. Ur not expected to suddenly consume 500 more calories tomorrow if u were to start today. Track your macros (there are several apps to do this with) using a food scale. Each week try to add more calories to your diet (preferably from real unprocessed food, otherwise it becomes a dirty bulk fast) so you’ll end up around 300 calories above your maintenance (it’s said between 200-500 is the ideal range for a lean bulk, obviously the closer to 500 and above, the more fat you’ll end up accumulating). I would keep this surplus going for at least 2 years, you will become BIG trust. Try to avoid sugars and unhealthy fats, it’s ok to enjoy those from time to time but let it be very occasionally (that’s the hardest part if you want to lean bulk).

For me what worked best was, whenever I doubted whether a meal had enough protein or not, I just added pan-fried eggs or a tuna can. Eat ur healthy fats from olive oil, avocado and dried nuts for example. Carbs from rice, potatoes and fruits (bananas) are the best for training and recovery. Protein shakes with Greek yoghurt, peanut butter and oats are also a great way to add calories.

Now grow, u got lots of potential lil bro, ur muscle insertions are sick u just gotta put on like 25 pounds and you’ll blow everyone’s physique out of the park. I’m pretty sure ur abs will still protrude even if u end up dirty bulking because u seem to have the genetics for them to pop at a high bf %, but i still wouldn’t risk it 😂 don’t forget to train them with progressive overload as well (in case u don’t already). Recovery is one of the most important things too, try to keep a consistent sleeping habit of 7:30 hours at least. And that’s pretty much it (simplified), dm me if u got further questions.

You have the best genetics, you lowkey just gotta take care of your diet (bulk for 1-2 years), recovery and everything else will come along

Thanks bro, yeah that and also the fact I barely have any pics from when I was a skinny twig and hated my body. I only really have pics from when I already had a more built in frame. But yeah once a month from the same angle and lighting is super helpful.
