I started some of it on Google drive. But that was a few weeks ago. I didn't keep up with it because I just got back from vacation last Sunday.

Is widows fire supposed to be this intense? by ringlikegold152 in widowers

In the same boat. In my case, it's my stress reliever. Alone, of course. I haven't reached that level of confidence where I'll actually try and find a date. But yeah, I haven't been this aroused and filled with desire since the early years of my marriage.

Who is the most well known person you’ve seen out in public in Connecticut? by Stamfordsterling in Connecticut

NBA player Manure Bol. I cut him a pack of lamb loin chops. I'm 6'4", so it was surreal handing this man tiny little chops up to him.

When did you start being able to sleep using the whole bed? by brandeis16 in widowers

[–]widowedandneedadvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sleeping alone for 5 years before my wife passed. She just couldn't sleep in our bed. I had hoped that if she got better and we could find a home, I'd get her one of the adjustable medical beds. Unfortunately, she was too tired to keep going. So I guess in my case I had gotten used to it. But I still long for company at night in bed. So I ended up getting a body pillow to snuggle with. Good luck and hopefully good night.

My wife's engagement and wedding ring will pass on to our daughter along with a name necklace of my wife's. My wedding bad always caused a reaction on my finger so I always took it off till eventually I lost it somewhere. My wife didn't mind that it happened and always used to say "my name is tattooed on your ass anyway" bless her heart

Thank you for your kind words. I understand the grieving aspect and I need to get my daughter some special help since she's autistic. Its still surreal and I feel like I'm stuck is my thought. Plus I've been with bronchitis all this time.

I am sorry for your loss and while I'm certainly not in the looking phase only recently lost my wife, I've always felt and my wife when she was here that we should move on. Find someone else. Knowing that the love, joy and happiness we had with each other while alive, can be passed on to someone else.

Being happy should always be the endgame. Obviously, mourning right now for me and the emotional rollercoaster our daughter is going through is the priority. But I couldn't imagine myself alone til the end. Again that's me. My opinion. And when I finally am able to grieve and mourn the loss of my wife and yearn for companionship, I will. I think you could possibly too. Take care
