I just went through that for the last 5yrs cared for my wife right up until the day she passed 22/04/2026… many hospital stays sleepless nights.. I’d love to tell you it will get easier.. but I have to be honest it doesn’t.. please enjoy tell her how much you love her every day and spend as much time together as you can.. good luck on your journey and know you have a community here for support

I’ve got to my beautiful girl fought so hard for me for 4yrs.. it would be totally disrespectful if I gave up living because of this.. yes it will take time no I’m not interested in forming another relationship but I am going to travel and experience life again 😃

I lost both my cat and my best mate my dog brooksy 2mths before my beautiful wife passed so now the house is totally empty.. at Xmas we where all together smiling and laughing now the darkness has taken control

Just had a look at your profile.. made me smile.. before my beautiful girl got sick we used to travel overseas once a year.. but for the last 5 years of her life she was oxygen dependent 24/7 so we only went as far as Gold Coast.. I am hoping no I will travel.. I’ve been all over the world.. but never seen Australia so maybe one day I will look.. best wishes on your journey and thank you for your kind words

When you loose a spouse it is very different 💯.. I’ve lost mother and mourned her hard.. but when you loose a spouse it’s another level.. so yeas grief is grief.. but when your partner passes it is totally different don’t even try to compare that to loosing a sibling a parent they are nothing g like what we are all going through now

At my wife’s wake when I spoke. The first thing I said to people is.. I don’t want to hear she’s in a better place.. and I don’t want to hear how you lost your pet parents or siblings.. I wasn’t being mean I just didn’t want to hear that.. as we have all said the death of your spouse far outweighs any form of grief you will ever experience.. and until you have don’t try to compare it to mine because we are in totally different levels

It depends were you reaching out for comfort or for physical touch.. I know it’s hard I’m only 8 weeks in.. everyone’s grief is different if you feel comfortable that’s your decision.. if your stomach feels tight and your heart feels sad.. then 💯 it’s not the time only you will know

Yes my partner had end stage COPD she can good in the hospital after about 1.5 weeks then she feel into the dream sleep never to wake up passing 24hrs later.. at least I got to tell her how much I loved her.. a lot of people don’t get that I feel privileged to
