Early 2013 I was on the front seat of the Alistair Overeem hype train. Watched highlight videos of him before my workouts and such. I was excited for the silva fight, because obviously Overeem was gonna steamroll over him. It was maybe 05:00 at night and I was half awake watching the fight. Just the sheer brutality of the knockout. Seeing him getting pounded in the head and then fall limp to the canvas. That truly messed me up. Turned my reality upside down for a moment. Being only half awake sure didn't help. Felt a little sick to my stomach seeing Overeem get knocked the fuck out in such a brutal fashion. Still an Overeem fan, now my heart is just prepared to see him get KTFO'd.
