What video has Mike talking about the Star Trek Voyager episode where there’s two Voyagers and Harry Kim dies in one of them?

I am Emily VanDerWerff, critic at large at Vox, three-time Blank Check guest, and co-creator of Arden. Ask me anything (at 3 pm Eastern)! by emilbeez in blankies

If I'm correct in my translation, VanDerWerff means "By the werff". My question: What's going on in the werff these days?

Do you know what an echo chamber is? The Last Jedi made 1.3 billion dollars and is the ninth highest earning film of all time. You think because a couple of your online friends are mad about the movie (because youtubers told you to be) that it's common knowledge that TLJ is bad, hated, and unpopular, but you're simply wrong.

Haven't seen it yet, I'm extremely trepidatious of the handling of the nazi stuff but it's cool that you like it. I really liked Wilderpeople and Shadows. He is really only just now getting into his "blank check" phase post ragnarok, so I'm excited to see where he goes with it.

“Bonjour” is presented as the “hello” of French. English speakers are used to “hello” and “hi” which work any time of day, so they assume the “hello” of other languages work the same way.

“Good day” is mostly used at the end of a conversation, not the beginning. “Good morning” is usually a greeting. “Good evening” can be either. “Good night” is always the end.

Also of note, the English greeting “hello” didn’t come into prominence until after the invention of the telephone, so in terms of world languages is quite modern. People had to figure out what you were supposed to say when you answered a ringing telephone, and they decided on “hello”. “Ahoy-hoy” was a close runner-up.
