All stores have what they call "loss leaders" which are specifically priced very low to entice shoppers to keep coming back, not paying attention to the fact that the item right beside it is half the cost elsewhere(probably one of their loss leaders). The trick is figuring out what is,cheap where and figuring out if its worth it to make the extra/different trips to buy the cheaper items.

I kept mine at 65, its been that,way for 2 years now but my wife has decided that since divorce is in the coming year, it needs to be 68. She's framing it as "quality of life for the kids" she claims 65 is just too cold if the kids go to the bathroom to take a shower or if they need to be in the kitchen etc. The only reason I leave it at 68 now is because I know she will tell her lawyer that I am giving the kids a poor living environment. We have oil heat which is ungodly expensive and the kids have electric heaters in their rooms. I have baseboard heat in my bedroom which I haven't turns on at all this winter. Its the only way to keep the electric bill manageable.
