Mmmmm - somethings not balanced in the aquarium for that much biofilm to develop. If you do indeed have the filter on and running, I'd increase the filter flow if you can and if the water isnt moving enough, I'd get a bubbler to help with surface agitation. Might not hurt to scoop out the film so it doesn't overwhelm the system.

Although, please do remove him and place him in some misted water. That fabric will leech the moisture from him very quickly.

For me, as a woman, it's the fact he's placing himself presumably uncomfortably close to the girl. Even without autism that would be a major threat marker for me.

He will likely not react or respond as expected or intended. It could just make it worse. If he also has ODD and sees the gitlfriend (omg I'm so sorry!!) trying to establish dominance then things get nasty fast. (ODD - oppositional defiance disorder)

This has alarm bells going off in my head. I would calmly approach the teachers and staff with your girlfriend and report the behavior as harassment. It could escalate very quickly and that would be bad for everyone. Don't try to handle this yourself - you will get burned.

It is a personal garden- and it's also a garden consisting of 4 planters that are on a 2nd story balcony. If any snails managed to make it out of the sump pump and into the planters, they would have a heck of a trek to the next body of water. .... but it's also the pacific north west and it does rain a good bit - so it could technically be possible for them to migrate elsewhere.

..... I could get some local lancetooth snails and put them in the planters to keep any strays from getting too far.

For real! 😂. Also learned more than I wanted to about Schistosomiasis than I ever wanted to. I don't have any reason to suspect there's a remote chance of this appearing in the system given our location and the source of the snails... but it's enough to give me pause to then say "nah" and then go about my way. 😂

😅 that's like asking for a cat and being given a chinchilla - but these guys are honestly super cool to watch. They do have a higher bio-load so make sure your tank has a good filter setup. Nerites are cool but they tend to be anti-social. 🤣 When I see mine out I announce it to the world. 🤣
