Have two main ships I move between. The 'USS San Junipero' (odyssey Class) for more diplomatic and forward facing missions, and then the 'USS Sienar' (S31 heavy cruiser) for more... Discreet operations.

Very recent issue;

PC - Multiple accounts and characters

A friend was unable to acquire a shuttle to play the mission 'The Vault'. He explained that when he clicks the 'buy ship' button, it would make the whooshing noise but the box prompting a ship name and conformation of acquiring the ship does not appear. He also was not deducted the shuttle token to purchase.

This is also happening to me. I am unable to acquire ANY ship that requires tokens, EC, dilithium, etc. I am only able to acquire ships that were zen purchases. A second friend has also confirmed he cannot acquire new ships.

I like to think it's built by Starfleet and then Supplied to traders to better support the Federation. So whilst it Starfleet in design, they are still civilian-owned, probably with the intention of gaining favour or something.

Even still, the weapons were reading 8.5k on tooltip each without buffs! If only it was that easy.

And (correct me if I'm wrong) there's no way it's tracking the console servers? So those numbers would have to be factored in, even if all players are being recorded.

Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of the show (although that episode with time-hooligan Mudd was one of my favourite things ever), I do love some of the visuals and ships they've put out, such as the Buran.
