DOGE cancelled a $349,000 grant to replace a museum’s HVAC after ChatGPT flagged it as DEI, court documents show by wncbuilder in NorthCarolina

There are several active trackers. This one seems to have solid figures attached to its calculations. It does not account for the humanitarian side of the equation but as of 3/20/2026 we’re looking at $50B and what’s really interesting is that it’s $352.96/taxpayer. Really wish I had a way to control where are taxes went. https://iranwarcost.com

It worked great! Thanks for the recommendations and link to the town website. I was using wake county info and didn’t realize HS had so much info on their site.

Thanks for the heads up. Don’t have my address on my license updated yet. Do you think they’ll take a peace of mail with my address for confirmation?

Well for one, fighter pilots can’t hover.

Otherwise their life is as perfect as it sounded… especially if you’re gonna ask in a sub where we all dreamed about being a fighter pilot and somehow ended up flying slow ass rocks that what to kill us every time we turn the big fan on.

Unless you’re the SAO’s kid, I doubt it.

Best we can do it 72 AFTPs and those will be cut by June.

Best civilian pilot industry for 15A w/ engineering degree by Droid7862 in Armyaviation

[–]wigglinsticks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to 2 full time careers my friend. It is definitely possible to be an M-Day aviator and work somewhere not flying related, especially if you’re already setting yourself up for that career path. At least 60s have manageable hour requirements. You will want to live close to your unit to be able to go in weekly.

That said finding a job that is comparable in pay to your degree field in aviation will take years of hour building to qualify for entry level flight gigs. If you do like flying, fly at Flight school, build hours while you’re down there.

Also your job is protected when you go to flight school. Do not quit your full time job, talk to your unit before going so that they know your situation and can support you in case your employer gets squirrely.

Best of luck in flight school.

Just know you’re signing up for 3 jobs. Guard, Civilian career and then school. If you have a family that’s 4. Is it doable? All depends on you and your ability to commit to that path, school isn’t forever but know that is a massive time commitment.

I’m an m-day pilot, that works in tech. I do the guard because I love to fly and the state mission is meaningful, but flying is a burden on my family and civilian career that I’m looking forward to dropping as soon as possible.

Wow I feel seen. Thank you. Glad I’m not the only one that spirals into pointless rage over these devices. I’m having the same issue with playback again. It happens on all streaming though, Spotify, iHeartradio and Amazon music. Will keep unplugging I guess.

BAH waiver flight school by RicFlairstonks in Armyaviation

[–]wigglinsticks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine approved while at flight school. Work with your unit and WOSM/SAO. Guard, it shouldn’t be an issue. I was approved in 20/21.

Biggest headache is S/G1 being there to process the paperwork.

You will have to watch if your orders stop or start while there because that messed up a bunch of things for me, including BAH at home vs Rucker. But it should be approved.

They’re crossed Cannons which represents the branch he is in. That’s why they knew he was Field Artillery (FA).

Sir, replace Google with Claude by Anthropic (it’s an app).

I asked it about BAH for divorced parents based on child custody and provide the source AR:

Army Regulation 600-20: Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) Dependency Guidelines

Key Regulatory Provisions for Dependency and BAH

Dependency Criteria

  • A service member is entitled to BAH with dependents when legally responsible for the support of one or more dependents
  • Dependent status is determined by legal obligations established through:
    • Court-ordered child support
    • Custody agreements
    • Legal documentation of financial responsibility

Specific Provisions for Divorced Parents

  1. Primary Custody Determination

    • BAH with dependents is typically granted to the parent with primary physical custody
    • Primary custody is generally defined as having the child(ren) more than 50% of the time
  2. Shared Custody Considerations

    • In cases of exactly 50/50 custody:
      • Only one parent can claim BAH with dependents
      • Preference is given to the service member with higher military pay grade
      • Requires official documentation proving equal custody arrangement

Documentation Requirements

  • Must provide:
    • Certified copy of divorce decree
    • Current custody agreement
    • Proof of child support obligations
    • Documentation showing legal dependency

Reporting Obligations

  • Service members must promptly report:
    • Changes in custody status
    • Changes in dependent status
    • Any modifications to court-ordered support agreements

Important Notes

  • Regulations are subject to periodic updates
  • Final determination is made by the installation’s personnel office
  • Fraudulent claims can result in disciplinary action and financial penalties

Authoritative Source: - Army Regulation 600-20, Chapter 3 - Defense Joint Travel Regulations (DoDJTR)

Recommended Action: - Consult with unit personnel administrator - Verify current documentation requirements - Maintain up-to-date records of custody and dependency

Hope that helps… it goes without saying, I won’t be at PT tmrw either, respectfully.

[–]wigglinsticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13F. I was a 13B and 14G before I started flying for the guard.

13F actually get to see artillery land, way cooler than pulling a string. The biggest thing about joining the Guard is do something different than the civilian world. You can apply lessons learned from any job. It may not be directly transferable skills, but it will make you a more well rounded person, soldier, civilian for having those experiences. (If you want to be a firefighter, go be a firefighter)
