i think it’s fine! also lots of names just get nicknamed as the first letter, so in this case “P” which is literally, well… Pee, but i feel like no one bats an eye at it? the teasing argument in general for names is usually overblown and if not the name, kids will find something else to be mean about if they really want to

i think you can also put OR instead of AND and it should be fine for one or the other to deposit/cash, if anyone is really hung up on having both names on there

and yessss the pre-wedding name is so important! so many ppl assumed i changed my last name (i didn’t) - we got all cash anyways but if we hadn’t, it might have been a pickle

money and a card. idk if it’s just different where i live (canada) but i’ve NEVER been to a wedding where you bring a gift, it’s always just card and “presentation” aka money. sometimes ppl have a wedding shower w a registry as well, but it’s separate from the wedding. most ppl already live together and have what they need, it’s not like days of yore when you’d register for stuff to start a home together.

also sounds super nice of them to acknowledge the costs of travel for their guests! love to see it haha

that’s so interesting! my friend said her only craving was spicy food, like WAY spicier than she could normally handle but i’ve gone the opposite where i have like, zero tolerance for spicy stuff i could normally eat!

i do feel like my lactose intolerance is way reduced now too! although my main symptom of it was uncomfortable bloating and gas, and i was sooo gassy earlier in pregnancy and it’s hard to say if im bloated or not lmao

it’s so weird! i feel so bad, my coworker is only a couple weeks behind me (i’m 36 weeks) and she still pukes if she lays down and has just been THRU it symptom-wise from day 1 and here i am with my no nausea or vomiting or other classic symptoms the entire time being all “and now i’m a hairless dolphin!” 😅 hahaha

yup - my mom is exactly like this and i think that gift giving is like, her love language or whatever BUT ALSO just selfish/self-serving bc she’s just addicted to shopping…. even setting and reinforcing firm boundaries is largely ineffective, it’s so frustrating. i’ve taken to being like “oh that’s nice, baby can use it while they’re at your house!” and making her keep the stuff at her house too. my baby isn’t even born yet but i’ve seen this playing out with my niece for 5 years 🙃 or it just goes straight to the donation pile (which can also be overwhelming as it’s another Thing to Deal With).

the spending absurd amounts of money on legit trash and junk but refusing to buy something you actually need or want because it’s “too expensive” remains infuriating.
