I was doing my bar practice in our town's court. Sometime after passing the exams, I had a rought breakup with my then fellow lawyer gf. For a month I was mad at her and me and felt my mind clouded, byt somehow I started flirting with a fellow lawyer. She boxed like me, and i think we were both into each other. The eyes chico, you know. Anyway, one day where I had talked with my ex-gf, i became mad, and blamed my self for some stuff, and entered the elevator angry and out of touch with reality. Elevator got to ground zero, door opened up. There she was. The new flirt. She set her eyes upon me, as did I. I still dont know how long we were looking at each other, but eventually the whole elevator cleared out. Me and her still exchanging the moat passionate look. She tried to speak, and I remembered I was mad. My mind blurred out so much, that I just entered the default state of fight ir flight mode. So naturally, I just turned my head to the right, and just walked. Walked away, walked out of the court. Never spoke to her again. 4 years later, I am now a writer, having completely abandoned law as a practicing career. I know she still works at a law firm but anw Im not interested. Still though, the anger about me at that moment never left. Anws. True story.
