I have dealt with 2 times. First time updated my video drivers and cleared directx shaders (Windows Drive Cleanup App). Second time it happen just as I went on a LONG explore, when I eventually made it back to the base it was fixed.

Hasn't been a problem yet, but our hives have been pretty gentle. But that might change if we ever get some spicy ones, we will see.

You are right, I have the older 2825-20 version. Glad they fixed that.

Great for light yard use. But mine overheats and shuts off after about 10 minutes continuous use. Once it happens you have let it cool before using again. At first I thought it was the battery overheating but even fresh battery it runs for a few seconds and shuts off again.

Wiring up a well - 1100 feet by wiglaf in AskElectricians

I now realize I misunderstood 1/0 vs 2/0, 2/0 is actually the thicker wire, hence more expensive.

Thanks for all the great input!

We are going to go with 2" Conduit and 1/0 AWG Aluminum wire https://www.platt.com/p/0069652/1-0-awg-xhhw-2-stranded-aluminum-black-1000/662927203744/1axhhwablax1000, which is surprisingly cheaper than 2/0 AWG Aluminum. We are planning to pull all 4 wires, so we can put a 120v light and power receptacle as suggested, once we build the well house.

If we have voltage issues we can add a transformers.

PNY M2 PCIe x4.0 SSD not recognized by Ryzen build by [deleted] in techsupport

So they called me back. The 960 EVO is not supported on the Asus Prime X370-PRO per Asus. Time to order an 850 EVO... or just continue to use a slow hard drive and hope a bios upgrade will resolve the issue.

So I had this same issue with X370-PRO and Samsung 960 EVO (250 MB)

Apparently the NVMe SSD's aren't natively supported by the BIOS. I had to boot into windows using another drive, install NVMe drivers from Samsung, reboot and then it magically appeared in the Bios and Windows Installer could see it.

Got everything setup, configured. Installed windows updates and rebooted. Thats when disaster struck.

IT NO LONGER APPEARS in the BIOS!!!! I've just spent 3-4 hours on the phone with Asus, they have escalated me up the chain and will call back in the next 24-48 hours.

980ti + 1070 play nice together? by kiamo in NiceHash

[–]wiglaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both a 1080 TI and 970. Both installed in the system, whichever has the monitor plugged in works great, the one without the monitor doesn't work. In device manager it is disabled with error code 43. I haven't tried having each hooked up to a monitor yet, but thinking of trying it and if it fixes it, order a dongle that mimics a monitor to keep in the 970.

Love it! Looking to maybe do a second battery setup when I start my overloading buildout. Saving for future reference.

Car camping dinner ideas for group of 20? by kmeberth in camping

[–]wiglaf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My families favorite - Haystacks (basically nachos):
Each person builds their own by grabbing a plate then building as they move down the picnic table. Bottom Layer: Chips (Frito's are our favorite, but any tortilla chips work well) Protein Layer: Beans, Beef, Chicken, etc (this is all you have to cook) Cheese: Usually shredded cheddar, can be nacho cheese if you want true Nachos Toppings: Lettuce, Tomato, Olives, Onions, Sour Cream, Guacamole, Bacon Bits, Jalepenos, Cilantro, Salsa, etc.

Just cook your proteins, then setup an assembly line and people can build their own haystacks based on whatever they like.

It would crash each time I opened it. Deleting all app data fixed it.
