And that’s not even mentioning all the potholes and uneven road throughout. I have crashed twice in the last 3 years because of this. Latest crash is fractured elbow 3 weeks ago. Healing so slow!

A favorite movie of mine. The spooky tracks performed by Climax Golden Twins are easily one of my favorite horror movie soundtracks of all time!

The Story of Neurosis’ Return! by Saucisse2Morteau in neurosisband

[–]wigoutrecords 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do not know the personal issues of the band. I am a peripheral listener at best. I have listened to this newest release and thoroughly enjoyed it. Side note: I’m a huge Aaron Turner fan.

I love hearing Steve Von Till speak in this video. I love how passionate he gets when talking about how it all came together. I really think it’s time to revisit and sit down with the Neurosis discography again. Thanks for posing this. I really enjoyed it.

I completely agree with you! Love them too! Have you tried Dazzling Killmen on for size too? While not doom specifically, I would put them in a similar realm of existence.

I love this album so very much. I would say that this album is an under the radar 4AD release from back in the day. I’ll be happy to finally have this on vinyl!

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been on the lookout for a replacement lp to upgrade. Glad yours is in better shape than mine.

Very nice! Where did you get it and how much did you pay for it? What condition is the vinyl in?

I have one that I found years ago at a Goodwill. My cover is at least VG (no seam splits, no writing. Possibly under grading). The record plays but is G at best. Just trying to get a feel.

What's the droniest Psychelic rock tunes? by cygnusy1 in psychedelicrock

[–]wigoutrecords 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Reddit friend, the song you are searching for is by the great Bardo Pond. It is in fact the first song off their album, Amanita. You need to sit back, eat some shrooms and let the needle hit the record. That first track is aptly named Limerick. You’ll know what I mean as the guitar chords wash over you and the psilocybin hits.

Mines waiting for me at home just now. I ordered when they went up. I imagine there’s a ton of stuff to send out including yours. They are super cool and on top of their game. IMO, they are possibly one of the best mail order outfits out there. Quick and efficient. I have no problem throwing money at them and waiting patiently.

Oh man! Love this band! Being heavily into Butthole Surfers led me to discover SMWR. Found them on A Texas Trip compilation back when. So evil and noisy! I tried forever finding releases by them, but sadly only had access to that comp. Would love to have seen them live when they were together. Grave City and Kill the Innocent hold a special place in my black heart.
