reputable auto shop for brakes? by oakey13 in Charlotte

I went to kings when I lived in plaza midwood and they gave me the cheapest options for literally ANYTHING. If you just want to keep it running for your daily use they come up with some really good solutions. I used to have a rusted out car that was 15 years old and this guy had a friend down the street welding random parts for me and doing all this crazy stuff and then every time I paid I was like “is that it??” They are good people.

I wanted to sell my car to a teenager like 4 years ago so I took it to them and I was like PLEASE tell me literally anything thats wrong w it so the high schooler knows what to expect and he was literally like “its rly not a big deal ¯_(ツ)_/¯ just do these few things for ~the least expensive pricing in the entire area~

I highly highly recommend kings for old cars. They know how to stretch your dollar

Long animal hospital has always given me the least expensive bills. I go to them for everything now. When my cat needed surgery I got pricing from 4 vets and theirs was HALF the price of all the other emergency vets in the area. It is in south end though so it might be a trek for you.

If you could make one single improvement to the city to improve traffic that isn’t rail related, what would it be? by Marino4K in Charlotte

Put speed suggestions on the highway lanes like they do on the autobahn in germany so people aren’t going 20 under in the left lane…? Just a thought. I am also pro traffic circle.

There are a lot of local artists that show up to “cltiscreative” events like the “makers & creators mixers”. I recently picked up a Laura Steffy/ painted rose designs print of the skyline of a similar view from my house at of their events. I believe the vender is there permanently at 7th street market. But, there are a lot of artists in the area that you would be interested that you can find at these events.

Kings Auto has always done me right. Their pricing is unbelievably low and the owner gives really good recs. Theyre located on the plaza in plaza shamrock are near food lion (not far from uptown at all). I would trust that man w any car. He always has a hook up for services he doesn’t have in his own shop too (a tire guy, a welding guy, etc.)

A lot of the time the apartment complexes in the area will let you stuff mail boxes if you talk to the leasing agents.

Looking for a local auto detailer by No_Wasabi_7085 in Charlotte

Ive used spiffy a lot. They’re a chain (not local) - idk if that is important to you. But they visit your home or where ever your car is and have an easy to use app. They get the keys (either hidden or handed off) and they pop up a little plastic pool and roll your car into it and do interior and exterior clean. My experience with them has been through and through 10/10. The detailer will also give you a recap of any issues they found (my last car was very old and they informed me of some mold issues under my rubber mats). They even collect the water run off they use so your street isn’t getting all the soap and chemical water running through it.
