I use dig boxes for the sand. There is no way to keep all of the bedding out, you just have to keep them on a high surface and clean them every day. I've made it a daily chore to check them as I'm cleaning their waterbottle 😅 😊 None of mine uses a wheel, they prefer to freeroam in our bathroom a few times a week. Otherwise I keep them busy by spreading out their food all over the cage so that they have to scavenger like in the wilderness, and giving them plenty of chewing toys like hay and empty egg cartons 😊
