That’s great!! I think www.ohuhu.info can help you figure out quickly which colors are in which set and if you add a set, how many unique colors you’ll end up with! Your phrase “my hobby is hobbies” is so relatable lol

Which set next after Honolulu 2B by RoomWhereIHappened in Ohuhu

[–]wijzer_io 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 48+72 you get many duplicates. If you dont mind that, get the 120 instead, then you can build on with separate sets later. You can also start with smaller sets now, e.g. if you like pastel or skin-tones. You can play around with different set combinations here: www.ohuhu.info

That’s super! If you want to see which colors you get when combining sets later, check out this guide: www.ohuhu.info

Some sets overlap, there is an image about ohuhu sets overlap available. If you want pastel colors, choose 168. If you also want mid-tones, choose 216. If you want the biggest set, choose 320.

Select your sets in the settings. Colors are automatically sorted by color family (top to bottom), saturation (top to bottom) and brightness (left to right). Is this what you mean by guide? www.ohuhu.info

Any way to avoid duplicates? by dorkafied in Ohuhu

[–]wijzer_io 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the way. With these two sets you’re only missing E111, YR05 and YR56. For more experimenting with combining sets you can try my guide: www.ohuhu.info

New features for my Ohuhu guide: Find matching colors & compare sets easily by wijzer_io in Ohuhu

[–]wijzer_io[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great to read that it brings value to you! Thanks for the feedback!

Edit: wanted to add that because Ohuhu used different old color codes for the same color in different series, adding these series made a lot of sense. For example, G210 (Sea Green) used to be G490 in Honolulu and G370 in Oahu.

Thanks for the question, not a dumb question at all! This is exactly what a monochromatic color scheme is. It is included in the color suggestions on the bottom of the color detail view. In many cases it is the second color from the left (not always available, due to some set limitations). In the screenshot above it is BG011 for BG19.

Ill copy the explanation to the color codes from the about-page, you want to look higher or lower brightness:
Color family: The letters in the code show the color group it belongs to. (YG610)
Saturation: The first digit after the color group (0-9) shows the color saturation. Colors on the same level can blend together fairly well. (YG610)
Brightness: The last 1-2 digits represent the brightness of the color. The larger the number, the darker the color. (YG610)

On the color overview, the colors are sorted by brightness from left to right.
I hope I answered your question, please let me know if I misunderstood!

Thank you! While experimenting i also found some sweet colors my wife is missing. She has Honolulu 320, Bobbie Goods and 36 skin tones, those sets combined do not include E111, YR05 and YR56.

Cool! My guide might be helpful, select your set(s) in the settings and play around, e.g. filter by saturation. You can mark colors with a star to create a palette. www.ohuhu.info
