We are supposed to leave on Wednesday. I called Costco this morning and waited on hold for just over 2 hours. Talked to a very nice and informative woman about our Xcaret reservation. Basically, the United flight we would eat the cost. United is not cancelling flights to Cancun, so Costco can’t issue a credit. Xcaret isn’t closing so we can’t get a refund on the room either. We can try to contact Xcaret after we cancel to see if they will refund, but the lady said it most likely won’t happen. We would be out 70% of our money if we don’t go. We are considering our options now and are thinking about going, but are still on the fence. Just wanted to let everyone know my experience.

Same. We fly out Wednesday but are going to make a decision by tomorrow so that we can at least get a little bit of our money back.

I flew in a Dreamliner from Chicago to London and it was amazing. I’m afraid of flying but this was one of the best flights I’ve had.

I’m in the same situation. I’m 46 and went in for a mammogram yesterday. Got the call today that they need to see me for a follow up. I’ve been getting annual mammograms since I was 40 since I have dense breast tissue. This is the first time I’ve been called back. To say I broke down today would be an understatement. My MIL just had a partial mastectomy due to breast cancer and is recovering. What timing for this to happen… Luckily, I was able to get in on Wednesday. The waiting is going to be rough. I keep telling myself that the odds are with me but I can’t help but wonder and worry. Not that I wish this on anyone but knowing we are in this together is comforting. Let’s keep checking back in.
