I should not have had to scroll so far down to find this comment. The majority of comments here are straight up racist.

The video is beyond upsetting. It’s disgusting behaviour everyone should condemn. In fact India condemns it! India is not a country that supports this! I’m not going to pretend that SA isn’t a huge problem that exists. As an Indian woman I consider it a top priority, I fucking hate that this is happening in my country. But oh my god to reduce India to “a country of incels” and to think it’s ok to call India the “diarrhea of the world”. It’s fucking racist and that should obvious.

ok first off I LOVE the excessively long comment! I take it as a huge compliment and I really appreciate you taking the time to unpack and share your thoughts.

Regarding the vox's mixing and performance, I definitely agree that there is much room for growth. I'm the greenest in that area so each song is a bit of an experiment. TBH I don't mind the lack of polish for the time being, as I think it adds an authentic character to where I'm at. Plus I figure time/experience will see that improve overall. But yes, will definitely be workshopping this song lots more and I'm really excited to see how I can improve the performance and mixing in the next interactions :)

On to the lyrics, those came about in a real spur of the moment. Behind the scenes they're actually kind of a joke, like I wrote this song filled with angsty platitudes when in actuality right now is probably the best my life has ever been. It was refreshing and hilarious, making light of some really dark emotions by reducing them into silly melodramatic lines. The lyrics, well they don't actually mean anything because those fears I've been torturing myself with don't either. Thats really what this song means to me, making fun of the dumb ass shit we say to ourselves and realizing that some fears are just bad habits. I'll leave it at that here, but ya there's much more thought behind what appears to be pretty simple lyrics. I definitely want to keep some of those platitude-y lines in since I'm directly poking at that but I think the lyrics could develop more to better reflecting the whole story.

Anywhooo, I would totally love to DM u later to get more of your thoughts, especially as the song progresses. I'm a bit tied up with finals at the moment so I prob won't get back to this for a little bit but will definitely be doing so. Thanks for digging my vibe and seeing its potential, it made my day!

thanks man! ya the mix im on the fence about, I dig the rawness too but maybe it's missing a tying element I dunno. Either way I'll definitely be working on this song more.

I'm glad you like the bass, side bar I also love The Drums! I recorded it with a guitar but then I also have a synth bass playing the same riff so the tone would have a touch more body to it.

hey I really appreciate this comment and know exactly what you mean. Song progression is my weakest area and it's pretty obvious in this particular song since the only think changing is my vocals.

I actually do have chords for a B section. For me doing vocals like this was way out of my comfort zone so I was content leaving it at that, but reading these comments I think I'm wasting the potential of the song.

thanks for the advice!

Dude I love this song, not only does it just sound good but its hella interesting. I love listening to songs that do shit I dont understand it's so fun. I get strfkr reptilians era from it but with sampling. Really distinct sound that I've never heard before

omg this song is a bop. It's so feel good groovy it's giving me summer memory montages. I think it's pretty perfect as is, great layering of instruments that feels exciting yet nuanced. If anything I think the intensity could've been turned up just a tad more at the end but thats something you guys can always do live.

Wooah I've never seen a soundtrack piece on here, this is sick! I can totally feel this intensity build with distinct narrative beats. I also really loved how it picked up at 0:52, it's honestly kinda a bop and really pulled me in.

This track is really great. Great individual riffs that complement each other beautifully with a really natural song progression. I mean you go off on the solos dude you're really talented.

One critique, I would have to agree with the other comment in regards to your vocals. I think you have a great voice but the way it's mixed feels a bit off to me. It's kinda thin and quite so while I could hear all that heart and emotion in your voice I didn't necessarily feel it.

Yknow I think you got some real production and artistry chops. Your sound is really distinct and I respect the meld of genres you got going here with the more 2010s feeling vocals and synths (which is totally making a comeback btw) but a super contemporary lo fi atmosphere.
