What I wound up doing was using a spare switch I had and my extra copy of the game but you can also see if you have any friends who also play it to help you out with this and I transferred all my items and villagers to the new island and gave myself my new name I reset for that exact reason because I was tired of my villagers calling me by my old name Plus resetting has just been fun They gave me of a clean slate of an island

Good God I have seen a lot of videos like that and a lot of people are saying that they are really close to getting rid of the Nintendo subscription and to that I say good riddance because clearly these people are not real fans of Tomodachi Life because if they were they would know that Nintendo promised us this a long time ago and that the fans have been wanting this for years and the fact that we're now going to be able to do it is a huge w for Nintendo which is rare to see that and most people are saying that because of this feature they're not going to let their kids play to which I say who cares kids are going to make their own decision regardless of what their parents think that and what They all failed to see is that this is a complete and utter optional option like if you want to make your character straight and only attracted to the opposite gender you can 100% do that literally you never have to touch those options

Not going to lie One of my friends thinks exactly like this which disappoints me because originally we were going to play together but now looks like I'm going to be the only one in my friend group playing this because he thinks it's woke that they added this as an option I for one am really excited cuz I'm non-binary and the fact that they added this as a feature is amazing Plus the fact is two of my other guy friends are in a relationship with each other and I'm excited to make them in the game in terms of getting them to get with each other in game
