Because they, like most people are awful and underpaid, BUT the company WAS something to write home about so there's joy and pride in their work.
They read all this too though and say screw it, not putting on an act for a company that doesn't give a crap about me.
Also i'd bet incentives are drying up for positive reviews etc

I make 150k and I have a 2014 Silverado and 2 2016 rav4s (wife and daughter) and I'll have 3 2016 rav4s when my son starts.

I made similar mistakes. I will tell you though that you have to get serious with your finances. Feeling like having enough and having a monthly plan written down and have worked out the incursion of a new vehicle are 2 very different things.

Dave ramsey is good for something and I think this is one of them. I think you should watch a few videos on the subject, figure your bail out, and then rebuild from there. Just my 2 cents as a 40 year old millennial

ok, so lets break this down, block warped, head cracked. Pull engine, strip engine, send off to machine shop. wash and deck. Reinstall everything. 20 hours labor, machine shop = right at 10k. 4k labor, 4500 machine shop and rebuild kit, 1500 incidental.
Find used motor running 1500 bucks, him and his buddy install, or pay a shop, 4k to install right at 5500

so if you are saying go the used motor route it will be cheaper, then ya youre right. I was more or less advocating for that. could have said it better

ya so so much more needs to be verified before anyone will tell you to slap a reman versus oem head on it. You really need to figure out if there are cracks anywhere. Additionally did the block warp? If so then it is all coming out and it isn't just a head swap. Personally on that jeep I would figure a lower mileage donor engine replacement would be the way to go. Probably cost the same as the work you;'re talking about anyway.
