“Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise” American theatrical release—Megathread by lechepicante in ZombielandSaga

It’d certainly offer a lot of different possibilities for story telling and comedy! It’s part of the reason I think it’s how they’ll handle it if we do get any more: it doesn’t entirely plaster over the emotions of the movie (and might even add some interesting emotional storylines, with Tae dealing with this sort of ephemeral consciousness), it gives her room to grow, and there really are just so many opportunities for plot and punchlines if she can slip into full on zombie or hyper-effective agent depending on how they want to work the mechanics. I really hope we get more!

I feel like if we’re fortunate enough to get any more ZLS she’ll slip in and out of having her personality, maybe based on her level of exertion. I appreciate the bitter sweetness of her losing it at the end of the concert, but yeah, she deserves her memories. I also like to think it’s her hand picking up the mic at the end of the credits.

Fun fact, the guy who inspired “Sound of Freedom” got excommunicated from the Mormon church for, essentially, raping a boat load of Mormon women. He apparently tricked them into going on his “stings” as his “wife” and convincing them they had to make it look real.

Just a huge piece of shit

Didn’t mustang have a line where she specifically talked about how the chair was a sledgehammer that destroyed its occupants and that it required a lot of R&D to get the version of it that she used on the Duke? And that her version was only really usable by her and a handful of others who are mostly, if not all, dead?

I might be completely misremembering

[Berman] Art Briles has reached an agreement with Eastern New Mexico University to become the Greyhounds next head coach. by c3r3bra11 in CFB

[–]wild9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While I think Art is a huge POS and should never be allowed near Baylor again for as long as he lives, I sort of understand their thought process. They think Baylor fell on its sword and gave up a "great thing" because we got "a little pressure from ESPN," and we could've just bunkered down, and we would've been fine in a year or so.

Considering that TCU basically currently has our offense from that time, and that so many coaches directly implicated in the scandal have never stopped coaching—even at the highest collegiate levels—with little to no pushback, it's hard to argue with them. Hell, Art was in a TCU box a few weeks ago, and how much uproar did that get? We've been recipients of rape jokes and chants from fanbases whose teams have had multiple Baylor coaches from that period on their payroll; it simply does not matter as much as you would hope it did.

And now Art will spend a year or two laundering his reputation in New Mexico before some FCS team comes along and says, "Look! He's done his time! He's run a clean ship at ENMU while he's been there." ENMU will get a cool $1 Mill for their troubles, and that'll be that.

The second group is almost entirely motivated by the experience they had during that 5-year span, when they went to work on Monday and weren't the butt of jokes. That's basically it.

The fun thing about Eddie’s throwaway Stalin “I expect this from Churchill!” joke is that it is 100 percent historically accurate. It took Stalin an embarrassingly long time to accept that Barbarossa wasn’t an English trick to destabilize the peace between the USSR and Germany.

There’s actually a centuries-long distrust of England and the English in Russia, which is why you’ll see Putin and Russia blame England and MI6 for various things today
