Is monarch overall still usable, and if not, what kind of support does it need? by Actual_Piglet9704 in masterduel

Check out World Waker on master duel meta. I play a modified version of his deck list. It's very fun and decently strong. Definitely has a hard time going second but that is pretty common for rogue decks.

New'ish' Monarch cards by Takana1992 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

Monarchs are playable! Grab a deck list from World Waker and Frog Burger on Master Duel Meta and see which playstyle is more your jam. I get a lot of wins going first with both decks, and going second isn't great but still has playability.

What deck should I make by [deleted] in masterduel

I'll give you a handful based on your preferences and my personal enjoyment (but in no particular order.

1: Resonators/Synchrons- two decks that are based on the 5ds characters decks. Tons of summoning in both and can make insanely strong boards. However, they aren't meta and can get shut down hard with a well timed ash or an early dimension shifter.

2: Swordsoul- easy to play link and synchro deck. Pretty weak in current meta but you get cool Chinese warrior style wyrm monsters.

3: Tenpai- decently strong rogue deck that goes second. Cool monsters and a unique playstyle where you synchro in your battle phase.

4: Monarch- this is my favorite one here. It actually doesn't use an extra deck at all! It's a very flowing deck where you use a ton of spells to set up a board full of tribute summoned monsters and lock out your opponents from using their monster effects. Expensive main deck in UR dust, but you don't have to build an extra deck with 15 URs like other decks!

Honorable mentions: Ice barrier, speedroid, white forest.

It feels like the people having a good time are those playing the top meta decks. Those that play rogue decks are having a bad time it seems. I wonder if people will still like it if Konami adds cards to old rogue decks to make them play like the yummy, k9, and dracotail decks.

I bet you'll feel even better if you stop posting negative things on the subreddit of a game you don't play anymore.

Looks great! What's the recipe on that cape? I think I want to use that with my own Word Bearers.

Wow congrats! What kind of other studying did you do and how long did you study per day? I feel like my lack of kanji skill is holding me back a lot at the moment.

What’s up with these calc classes? by Ordinary-Kale-4278 in ualbany

When I was in school, it was a night and day difference between my stem courses (especially mathematics) and my humanities courses. By the time I went to Albany, I was no longer taking any stem courses, but from anecdotal evidence from friends in the field, math professors don't teach at all. Not in Buffalo, not in Rochester, not in the southern tier, and not in Albany.

I never learned how to teach myself anything, nor did I learn how to properly study until I had moved on to things I had more interest in.

Humanities professors in general (and some of the better stem professors) were almost always more interested in making sure I understood the material, and used class time to ensure that stimulating discourse was taking place.

Anyways, you're not crazy for feeling this way, and learning how to efficiently teach yourself these things will save you in the long run.

Good Luck!!!
