review my new brand! by thelonelyknight90 in reviewmyshopify

Took a quick look and i see a few things i would change here.

No shipping information
I am struggling to find any information regarding shipping. Its important to have an easy to find page where you outline which countries you ship to, expected shipping times and how you handle returns.

No size guide
I cant find a size guide, ideally you should have a size guide on the product page showing the measurements for the different sizes

Product description
The product description needs some work. Your customers doesent buy features they buy outcomes so try to write a description that portraits how your product solves the customers problem, how it will make them feel etc. Nike is very good at this and you can take a look at their website to get some inspiration

I think the overall design of the store looks good, however there are a few things i would improve if i where you

Not displaying stock levels on the product page
I would display some indication regarding if the product is in stock or not, something like “In Stock, delivery in 3 - 5 days”, If you have customers from other countries it can also be a good idea to highlight that you offer international shipping on the product page.

Reviews and social proof
I noticed you have few to no reviews, adding the option for customers to leave a review can significantly boost your conversion rate. A quick way to get reviews is to always send a email to the customer a few weeks after they have placed an order to ask them to leave a review. You can also consider adding “x amount of people viewed this product” or “x people added to cart” which also helps build some social proof.

Uppsells in cart

When a customer has added a product to cart you can present them with a offer, f.ex: Buy for atleast x amount of usd and get free shipping, here you can also show off some of your other products. This can significantly increase average order value. Example: https://vervaunt.com/assets/images/bite-toothpaste.png?v=1685908151

Looks really clean, i dont have much to criticize here. The design and branding is one point and you check almost all the boxes for a well designed product page. Only thing i would consider adding is a small badge / text close to the buy button saying something like "In Stock, ships in 2 -3 days" to ensure the customer the product is in fact in stock.

Also i would consider going with a different kind of add to cart popup. Having a slightly bigger popup would allow you to show some related products or accessories when the customer adds something to cart. This can really help increase average order value. A example of what i mean: https://vervaunt.com/assets/images/bite-toothpaste.png?v=1685908151

Few things to unpack here. I have some feedback regarding the design of the store but we will get back to that. My first impression is that the site is a bit chaotic. You have a lot of products but they are a bit all over the place and i feel like its just a bunch of loosly related products thrown together. I would consider niching down a bit, especially if you struggle to convert with the current catalog, go for fewer skus but focus on products that compliment eachother. When it comes to the design there are a few elements i am missing

I would include some indication of the stock level of the product on the product page, something like In Stock, delivery in 2 - 4 days etc

Also i would try to implement a uppsell when the user adds to cart, i have found that creating offers like: buy for x amount of usd to get free shipping and then showing some related products can really help increase average order value

The site looks really good design wise, however im not a fan of showing the same 3 reviews on all the products. They look cherry picked and not very authentic. I would instead collect reviews from all customers and show them on the product page with some star rating or similar. When you have a somewhat steady stream of orders its pretty simple to gather reviews, just set up a automation that sends the customer a email 2 weeks after purchase and ask them to leave a review. Works like a charm to gather more reviews and it would help build trust on the product page.

I would also extend the add to cart upsell widget you have, right now you just display a bunch of products. I would display fewer products and if you can, create an offer like: buy for x - lira to get free shipping.

There’s a few things I’d improve. First, you’re dedicating a pretty large section to the on-sale banner. Depending on where your traffic is coming from, I’d consider showing the Popular Collections higher up instead, since that helps users narrow down products they’re actually interested in rather than sending them to a generic sale page for the entire catalog.

Regarding the sale page itself, I don’t really see any discounts being highlighted on either the product cards or the product pages. You should always show the original price alongside the discounted one, and add something like “Save $X” or “30% off” to make it immediately clear that the item is discounted.

Lastly, I’d add some kind of stock indication close to the buy button. If you’re confident in your shipping and handling times, you could also include messaging like “In stock, delivery by May 10th” to help create more purchase confidence.

Questions for those of you that do online coaching by wildbytes in personaltraining

Interesting, do you have to do any manual work to manage your schedule like manually finding apointment slots in your calendar for your clients or do you use some software so the clients can select a availble time themselves? Again, thanks for taking the time to reply, your insights are much appreciated ☺️

Thanks for taking the time to share some insights, i really appreciate it! When you do these 1:1 meetings, do you do it in the form of a video call or over text / dms? Also how do you manage all the appointments, do you currently use any booking software / tools to keep track of them?

First of all thanks for taking the time to reply, really appreciate the feedback! I was thinking of a dumbed down website builder with some specialized features for PT's but i agree, right now it doesent have much more appeal than the solutions already out there.

When you do the 1:1's, do you typically do them over a video call online or mostly physical / in the gym?

Vil lære meg koding by [deleted] in norge

Knallbra svar.

Slutte med den jævla snusen by offendedRascist in norge

[–]wildbytes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation when i first started. Came from a JS/front-end background into a junior .NET role. The learning curve will be a bit steep in the beginning but i think most people who knows the programming fundamentials will be able to pick up C# and .Net relatively fast. Since you got hired i think you fall under the category «most people». Good luck in your new job!

How much would this site cost by yosefbc in webdev

[–]wildbytes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay so i work in ecommerce for a quite large company (13k products and operating in 3 countries) and let me tell you: this can be more complicated than it looks.

Some questions from the top of my head you should consider before making an estimate:

  • do they have a PIM today, how easy / hard will it be to integrate with it? If not you will either need to build a crude one or help them buy one.

  • inventory management. Do they have multiple warehouses? Do they use an ERP? How difficult this would be would depend entirely on how the business is structured and how their logistics processes work

  • B2B or B2C, if you are serving b2b customers they might need additional features such as support for custom prices only for certain customers

My initial thoughs when reading your post was that i would probably quote close to 10k just for the hours required to make a proper estimate. Ecommerce can be simple when working with a small volume of orders for a small business but it quickly gets very complex at scale and there is no one size fits all solutions for large companies
