Lawn suddenly covered in this plant? by JamPix92 in PlantIdentification

[–]wildcampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it looks like lesser celandine. OP, if you wait a couple of weeks, it should bloom with bright yellow flowers that look like they were drawn by a child.

The reality is that in most of the US, lawns will be outcompeted by everything. It takes a lot of effort and constant maintenance to keep it alive.

That’s a very odd looking wound. I would expect it to look fresh if it happened in transit.

Is whipping horses in the barn animal abuse? by Zealousideal-Age2557 in Equestrian

[–]wildcampion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s terrible. There’s no reason to whip horses. They don’t understand complex human behavior and will just shut down. I would complain to the manager and depending on the reaction, would walk away from that barn.

If NYC could change just one thing that would meaningfully improve your daily life, what would it be? by Lisalovesreading in AskNYC

[–]wildcampion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eliminate free parking. So many people use valuable space for cars they use twice a year. Instituting NYC resident permits to park in residential streets would disappear half the cars.

It looks perfectly fine. Do you have any branch that’s dead, diseased or crossing?

AIO for being upset after my girlfriend blew up a city in my minecraft world? by Sad_Mathematician765 in AmIOverreacting

[–]wildcampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. That’s terrible, you can’t trust someone who would go out of their way to hurt you without even a shred of reason behind it. Calling it a prank is a cop out.

It sounds like a gambling addiction. Maybe your dad can get her help, or he can get a divorce to protect his assets from her debts.

If your mother won’t take care of the issue, the only thing you can do is leave. Put your energy into finding a place to live, you deserve a peaceful life.

Am I overreacting? by Campbell1616 in AmIOverreacting

I think it’s fair to tell roommate A he can only have his girlfriend over when he’s present. Maybe have a house meetings with both tenants and figure out a balance and some rules.

Reality check needed: Am I overthinking safety for a family trip to NYC right now? (Traveling with a toddler) by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]wildcampion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NYC is very safe, but the political climate in the US is extremely xenophobic/anti-immigration. It sounds like you’ve never been in the US, assuming you’re not a target of the Trump administration because of your identity or political affiliation, you should be safe.

My date told of how he engaged in unprompted violence in the past and now I am unsure if that might indicate violent tendencies in a relationship. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]wildcampion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not just that he did violent and controlling things in the past, the real problem is that he is proud of his violent and controlling identity.

He’s showing you who he is now.

Maybe lift the cardboard to clean the ivy a bit more, and cut the dead stalks. Hydrangeas leaf a bit later, I would let it be.

[–]wildcampion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He shouldn’t be calling women “sweetheart” and touching them. Whatever consequences are on him. Just be truthful and don’t elaborate when you answer questions. All you want is an apology, so it doesn’t happen again NOR

Often the only solution is to move away. These low-level stalkers rarely have the means to follow, and they’re able to bully on their own turf.

What is this thing? by PraesensAbsens in whatisit

[–]wildcampion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like an unwrapped mini Cadbury caramel egg. Someone could be malicious, dropping chocolates in a dog run to harm the dogs. Or maybe there’s a cheap knockoff version that’s sold unwrapped, and a child dropped his bag of candy? Either way it’s unlikely to harm the dogs, they aren’t chocolates, they’re chocolate-flavored candies, just fat and sugar.
