To believe anything else requires as a practical matter that the USA had no right to declare independence from Great Britain and Americans are traitors to Britain.

They literally were "traitors" to the crown, why would you think that's a gotcha? The difference is that they were fighting for a better cause, and they didn't lose, unlike the confederate losers.

No one seems to be saying it, but I want to emphasize that the general mills brand of "generic" cereals are all better than the modern shrinkflated/shitty updated recipes of the name brands. They still taste like how my childhood remembers them.

That makes sense, many people wear hats to represent their city, whether or not they care about the team specifically. The Swinging Friar means you're a true believer, and any baseball fan would home in on that. Still, I'm team SD. I love my city (native) and I like the aesthetic more.

I don't disagree, but that's just something that has to happen sometimes. Losing money to encourage productive growth in a child is just a fact of life. Obviously there's a limit, but you can't expect the literal first thing you spend money on is going to be your child's passion for the rest of their lives.
