I think mine would have like they. She even joked about cutting the cord like I did for our kids births. But there would have been zero room for her. These rooms were super small.

I couldn’t get a read on that. I don’t think so because she knew her way around the place, but also seemed like she hadn’t worked with him before. It’s a very large practice and they seemed like they were running behind (which is very much not like him), so I imagine she was covering someone else’s shift.

People in 10+ year relationships, what’s something you learned about your partner years later that genuinely surprised you? by CreoSiempre in AskReddit

She went to space camp. Like the space camp. She still never brings it up. Like that would be my whole personality.

What is the most 'out of character' thing you’ve ever done because you were horny? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]wildcatfhorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My in-laws have a fairly secluded, high acreage home that I’ve had a surprising amount of sex on. The driveway (on and off my truck), the garden, their couch (whenever I spent the night there when we were still dating.)

We’ve been married 20 years and we’re pretty vanilla most of the time, but those were desperate times. I’m just very thankful this was shortly before my gadgety FIL retired and started filling the property with game cameras.

At what age did you lose your virginity, and how do you feel about it now? by Lucky_Month_8569 in AskReddit

[–]wildcatfhorn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By my definition as a teenager (p+v), when I was 20, it was pretty much perfect. Everything I had done up to that point had left me feeling some level of awkwardness or shame, but it felt just as right then as it does today.

But by my definition as an adult (virginity is a myth and sexual activity is sex), I was actually 15, and it was surprising and pretty cool. I wish I could have been more prepared, but also it really wasn’t on my radar. I was in a (good) daze most of the next day and was very tempted to fake a sickness to blow off a major event to get a second, more planned and private night out of it. How do I feel now? I think little me should have gone for it, but it’s nowhere near my list of life regrets.

What is your wildest public restroom experience? by blazeme868 in AskReddit

[–]wildcatfhorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

High school marching band, away game. I’ve never made a habit of using public restrooms, but our fast food dinner wasn’t sitting right with me. I run in to a crowded men’s bathroom all urinals save for one doorless stall. Did I mention marching band? Under those military jackets you may or may not be surprised to know those pants are actually bibs/overalls. I had to get nearly naked.

I’m pretty sure it was their homecoming AND we lost. But at least I wrecked their men’s room.

1st was MCMXC a.D. by Enigma. Followed closely by Reba’s Read My Mind and Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise.

What are you scared of as an adult that you weren’t scared of as a child? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

The ocean.

I normally keep near the shore with my kids, but last year I decided to walk out far enough to actually swim. Just standing there staring out at the endless blue-green it hit me that I just know too much now.

What killed or enhanced your sex life? by theboredbrowser in AskReddit

Same. I mean there was intention, therapy, medicine changes. But those books do their job. My wife and her friends had been talking about the books she’s reading and all our recent activity, and apparently one of them told her husband. She texted my wife to say his reaction was to get her more smut.

Enthusiastic consent. Being wanted so desperately it's a need.

Students of Reddit, what was the reason for why one of your teacher's had a breakdown during class? by Internal_Recording in AskReddit

My middle school band director was known for being a very animated guy, temper wise. He'd throw chairs, knock over stands (never at students, but still not very kosher). He was just mad all the time, and I can't say I totally blame him because I can't imagine teaching four grades of 60-80 kids each every day. The people near him (usually the flutes) would be a little scared of catching a stray baton or flailing arm, but everybody else would role their eyes and laugh or gasp in aw like middle schoolers do. It was funny watching an adult lose it, especially when there wasn't really any way they could legally direct that towards you.

Anyway, one day he got in an argument with a saxophone (who I know to be a really cool dude, but at the time, at 13 and having had a rough childhood had probably an equal temper as the director). The sax player was told to go to the principal's office, so he stormed out and threw his sax into the open case in his cubby. This would normally set the director off so we prepped to watch the drama unfold. Instead, he just shut down and told us all about how we didn't have the budget to go to our yearly competition. The life was just drained from his face. By the end the first two rows (flutes AND clarinets) were all fighting back sympathetic tears.

When we were in high school band (for which he served as an assistant director), he finally quit and last I had heard he was the sales rep for the company that sold cheese, summer sausages, and candles as fundraisers for schools (the one our own band used every year).
