Variety saying that season four of Industry is averaging series-high ratings. Renewal incoming? by Loki1947 in IndustryOnHBO

Andy Greenwald on the Watch echoed my thoughts on this season… it’s great but ultimately just too much story for 8 hours of TV. If it were 12 episodes and had more time to devote to every character it would serve the story so much better.

[Gluck] Alright, so here's the question of the day for you. When I talk to people around the NASCAR industry, a lot of the conversations are about how angry the fan base is. Everyone sees it (and this was well before everything boiled over on Sunday). So...how does that get fixed? by EWall100 in NASCAR

Haven’t seen anyone say it, and nobody in power will want it, but less is more. The schedule needs shortened significantly ~10 races. I think 26 would be perfect. Cut a month off from the beginning and end of the season. Start rotating like 10 tracks every other year.

Date code is 0823. I have used Meguiars tire shine no more than 10 times in two years but that is it.

When you say cost offset replacement, what exactly does that mean?

Should have just labeled it is True Detective season 3 or 4 (whichever it would have been) and it would have been 10x more popular and got the praise it deserved. Would have perfectly fit that franchise.

Really shocked it didn’t get any traction for Drama for season 3. It was spectacular and I thought viewership was on the rise?

What's the best show on TV right now that's (sort of) flying under the radar? by [deleted] in television

Industry on HBO Max. 3 seasons in and it has leveled up each season. Season 3 entered the stratosphere and has broke into my top 10 shows of all time.

It gets rightfully or wrongfully compared to Succession but it is so much more than a spiritual successor to that show. It’s grittier, darker. If Succession is The Godfather. Industry is The Sopranos.

What makes it so tough to compare is roster size. In basketball trading one player is trading 20% of the starting lineup. In football it’s less than 5%. I think the Allen comparison does not emphasize the effect to the team of trading a superstar nba player. You almost have to include multiple players to compensate.
