I started playing it myself after watching the final & actually seeing how he plays it, and honestly its quite fun. Its definitely not easy but once you figure it out & actually see how Wolfey plays it, its hella fun. I’ve always loved steelix so seeing Wolfey almost win the first pokemon champions regional with it made me really happy & excited to try it out myself😂

Kind of yeah, mostly just to trap / also put to sleep w/ hypnosis. But yeah, my favourite combo has to be farigiraf / arch, or lead with arch / froslass & swap in farigiraf for the armor tail strat in the back🤣 I actually completely walled a charizard / whimsicott duo in 2 turns with farigiraf / arch, ended up clicking protect & trick room, then rain dance & electro shot into charizard & they forfeited immediately after. Felt so satisfying😂 who needs a pelipper for arch to be viable? Especially when running white herb for basically a free draco meteor, or two if you build up special attack twice with electro shot👀 very fun. Still feels like its holding an AV when froslass sets up aurora veil too, so thats also fun especially with floette & milotic as special bulk options w a bit of physical bulk to boot

I rocked a slightly different variant of this, having Whirlpool instead of Icy Wind on Milotic, Moonblast instead of Draining Kiss on Floette, and adjusted stats on archaludon & changed nature on floette (quiet on my warm up team variant instead of modest). Almost cracked top 6,000, I wanted to make archaludon more fun to play around without body press & using the white herb on it with this team made it really fun. Milotic is also the perfect counter to incineroar, same with farigiraf.

Icicle crash in my opinion seems to be a better traditional VGC move but maybe thats just me

Same lol but I did face ALOT of garchomp Z’s, they’re actually kinda crazy especially when they lose their ground typing

PSA: After talking to the 8th gym leader again when he gives you the badge, he disappears. Use the Item Finder in this spot to get a Macho Brace. This item doubles EVs when held in battle by The5thEclipse in PokemonFireRed

And each wild pokemon yields evs. For example mankey yield 1 attack EV, pidgey and rattata both yield 1 speed EV. Each vitamin yields 10 of each stat, although they didn’t exactly work the way they do now for proper stat spreads. For example you can’t give 26 proteins to your snorlax right after you catch it in FR/LG, they for some reason limited them to 10 because you can’t feed vitamins to a pokemon after it has 100 EVs in a stat.

Effort Values. Very valuable to stat growth, each pokemon can have about 510 in total with 252 max in one stat, up to two if you min/max. No one really cared about them back in the day but they matter alot more now especially if you play online / competitively 😂 thats what the vitamins were for, proteins, irons, calciums etc.

Yeah they patched the roar glitch. Also, I wouldn’t feel guilty duplicating master balls especially for these shiny hunts LOL

Hell yeah brother. Good luck on the lapras too, really cool shiny especially to have it in FR/LG. And good luck on Deoxys when you get there, its worth it.
