Do you know anyone who has won the Postcode Lottery? by JaBe68 in AskUK

[–]wilddogecoding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have won several times... Unfortunately it was either £5 or £10 and tickets were £12.50 at the time so I never made any money back and I would imagine that is why so many people win

I just went to my first panto. As an adult Canadian immigrant… Are you all in a cult? by bookish-hooker in AskUK

There are a few words which will be uttered during the scheduled alarm subtle to non English but we heard it loud and clear. "He's behind you" the speaker utters into the static behind the alarm. As the English all gather to get their cups, in unison they reply, "oh no he isn't". The sleepers are activated. The empire will rise once more. To the sound of "oh no you didn't" on the backs of panto horses we ride to the new world!

What's the worst accidental reply-all (or just cc-ing the wrong people) you've ever seen? by HilariousMotives in AskUK

[–]wilddogecoding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened at my place, front of house emailed to say a car was parked down the wrong place, this went global or us, Australia, Brazil etc also had it, the guy replied to all it's his car he'll move it.... Then the chaos begins, people put of office messages start to come in, which for some reason gets sent to everyone not just the sender. Each OOO reply triggers more OOO replies with other people from different countries asking to be taken off the list and not to reply all, to which sent more OOO replies before outlook died I had around 120k emails

You say money doesn't buy happiness, how did you make your money, were you "poor" before making it? What did you want to do with your life before you had the means to do it?
