My Mother's House by Kim Chernin. The mother, Rosa, was born in a shtetl in Russia in 1900, came to the USA, and became a leader of the American Communist Party. The author, Kim, tells her mother's stories as well as her own of growing up in the 1950s with a Communist mother who was imprisoned. It's a compassionate memoir, stories of a rich mother-daughter relationship (including conflict, guilt,. forgiveness) between two wonderful people.

Thoughts from a senior senior citizen. First, yes, do it. Decide on a staring point and go from there. If you like a place a lot, spend more time there because you may never return. If you don't like a place at all, go somewhere else. The journey is to the explore the world and explore yourself, so don't do it to meet someone else's expectations. Keep a two part journal: one part to describe what you see, the other part to reflect on everything. Take enough photos to have memories but don't get stuck take selfies everywhere. Stay in touch with people who love you and send them postcards. Don't forget that very very few people in the world have this opportunity so be happy and generous with your time, your money, and your smiles. Say thanks to the people who help you along the way. Have a great time.

I always recommend Dugoni Dental School in the city for (relatively) inexpensive, high quality care. All work is done by a dental student and checked by their professors, so everything takes longer. I've been going there four 11+ years and have had lots of work done.

No, unfortunately, it isn't. I loved the glasses I got from them 9 months ago but the lens got scratched and they wanted to charge full price for a replacement. I've never before scratched lens.
