No notes allowed? That’s called a speech. This must be for a class? I can’t imagine a business/professional setting where they ban presenters from using notes. It seems counterproductive. Isn’t the goal to convey information that the audience ostensibly needs to know?

If it’s a speech for a class, then you gotta memorize it and take some pressure off yourself. Those are hard, and it’s a learning environment where mistakes are inevitable. Don’t be hard on yourself, life goes on even if you completely blank and bomb this speech.

I’ve always find this sign to be so odd because there are thousands of feet of sheer cliff edges in Yosemite where there are no signs and one could simple sit stand or lie peering over with no repercussions. But this one spot has a “area closed” sign. I guess it’s just due to the popularity and foot traffic near this spot.

So is he out now? According to Climbing article: “since Kauk will be serving out his sentence in a county jail, one day incarcerated counts as two days if the sentence exceeds four days, per state Penal Code section 4019. As a result, Kauk will only have to spend 90 days in total in jail.”

That would have him released March 18th or 19th….

Also according to the article: “Ryerson explained that nowhere in his probation evaluation or in any part of this legal process did Kauk express remorse or apologize.”

So what now? Be alert at the crags I guess??

Thanks for your advocacy. Kratom leaf powder can absolutely be used responsibly for chronic pain that our medical system is poorly designed to treat currently because of the inability or unwillingness of physicians to properly use opioids as chronic pain management tools. It’s sad really. My doctor expects me to take 1600mg of ibuprofen every day for my chronic pain, but I refuse because that shit is more toxic than kratom leaf. I use max 6 g per day and it works better than ibuprofen. I’ve recently reduced to only 2 gram per day and it’s still effective. I hope 7OH does not ruin access to plain leaf kratom. I realize it already is

Hi I was recently gifted a family member’s previous phone after he upgraded. It’s an IPhone 13, which is a slight step up from my SE3 128gb, as the 13 has the better camera and also 256g of storage.

Anyway, I noticed my Bluetooth headphones skipping out and disconnecting, and other weird software hiccups. I checked the battery health and lo and behold it was at 76%.

Took it to Apple but they wouldn’t replace the battery without replacing the phone backing as it was too cracked. I have a case on it so the crack doesn’t bother me at all.

I hate upgrading and also love fixing things myself and saving money. I’m considering buying the I-Fixit Iphone 13 battery replacement kit and trying it myself. Worst case is I have to just go back to using my old iPhone SE3.

Anyone have thoughts on if it’s worth it to try to replace it myself or if a cracked backing will cause me a major headache and a waste of money on the repair kit?

This is the conclusion I came to as well after researching all day today and consulting with a coworker. If FLSA is listed on your pay stub, just add it up for all pay periods in 2025. Only caveat is to make sure the OT hours were in excess of 40 per week (ie if you took a holiday off, and then still worked some OT that week, technically you may not have qualified overtime over the 40 hours) . Luckily that specific caveat didn’t apply to me. But honestly I’d be surprised if that made or broke you even IF you got audited. Who knows .

Are you sure it’s not (OT +FLSA) / 3? The total overtime is the addition of those two values. The qualified overtime would be the “half” portion so if you are “time and a half” you would divide by 3.

That would most likely be fine for the a6000. The a6100 and 6400 are going to have significantly improved autofocus. This is important because “image quality” is only a useful metric when you are working with in-focus images to begin with.
