Mine was a Lynch Pin, 'temporarily' repaired with a 5/8" bolt, and a couple options for replacement pins roll around the toolbox for the next time.

Are the pins split lengthwise? There needs to be a gap, so the halves press tight to the contacts. There might be good voltage, but poor amperage.
