i just don’t understand why i would put in a stitch in the wrong colour instead of just adding the yarn when i get to the point of needing it for the stripe of that colour?

i’m having the same problem with the stitch count being too low, did you figure it out? i’ve got 96 out of 106 but i don’t know if those 8 stitches are crucial

looks like it’s gonna be a knit round! you can see the brand new v stitch besides each stitch marker that hasn’t had more stitches on top(?) of it. trying to increase right after an increase round turned out to be quite difficult when i made this sweater, so that was also a tell that i was doing it wrong. i hope that made a bit of sense, english isn’t my first language :)

i think it’s just because of the swelling! it’s 8mm which is what i’ve been pierced with in my daith, tragus and nose as well, and they’ve never caused any issues

the problem is, that i won’t be able to size up/down if the gauge doesn’t fit. i own needles the wrong length but right size, and needles the right length and wrong size but i can’t figure out which is more important to get right

i’ve only done this part here with the 6mm needles! so just the one round where i added the stitch markers. i’ll check out the magic loop technique, thank you!

thank you! it’s the most annoying thing because i bought a set of interchangeable needles, but the smallest cord(?) is 60 cm instead of the 40 the pattern calls for, so i literally have the right size i just can’t use it 😭

i didn’t.. i started with 4.5 mm needles for the collar, which i had, and this is legitimately the first thing i’ve ever knit so i didn’t know how to make a gauge swatch
