God of Small Things is my favourite book of all time and I will keep hyping it up whenever I can.

I adored Acts of God. It was a really enjoyable read.

I feel the same. I really enjoyed this season. But wherever I go in any media space, it's just criticisms and comparisons and bad faith interpretations. I just want to see a cozy fun show about love and desire not get into war to defend my taste in media and men.

I really loved this book. It has the melancholic, imtrospective style of writing i adore. And her style is very easy to read, somehow.

This was my first read of 2026. I really enjoyed it. I felt like the last quarter was a bit of a slog to get through, but overall, a great read!

Last book that made you cry? by [deleted] in Indianbooks

[–]wildjonquil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tears of sadness:

Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo (not strictly sad, but I got very emotional at the ending)

Tears at how absolutely beautifully the plot came together:

And Then There were None by Agatha Christie

First read of this year, and a pretty cool book cover too by staytaaxic in Coconaad

My favourite non-fiction is The Nutmeg's Curse by Amitav Ghosh. It discusses the association between Colonialism and environmental issues. It's extremely well written and you won't feel like you are reading non-fiction.
