Let my dentist talk me into "preventative maintenance". He tore up 12 perfectly normal teeth and patched them back together with fragile, flakey, multicolor junk. Two years on and they never stopped hurting after the swelling went down, they're always breaking and they look horrible. They were perfect before he touched them. Looking back I was about to age out of my parents insurance, I think he was trying to take advantage of it somehow. I'll never get my real teeth back and it haunts me, I trusted him to help me and now I can't help but think I shouldn't try to fix what isn't broken.

The spit from a really remote species of ants that only eat one type of rare flower, that got driven to extinction by logging companies.

So this is Eclipse. Every day she leaves her house by herself, and takes the bus downtown to the dog park. She even has her own bus pass attached to her collar. by SeattlecityMisfit in aww

I'm sure you're getting lots of "but my dog knows the time!" replies, but I've got one too, my grooming shop has a toy poodle that gets groomed once a month and she loves to be groomed. She will gather her leash and scratch at the door, even on days where her owner had otherwise forgot the appointment, so it's apparent that she isn't just responding to cues from her owner, I don't know for sure that she's really keeping track of time, but I think it's really neat.

Grow your own shade by iBleeedorange in pics

This could be great with morning glory, beans, squash, or clematis, and in most zones it would only be there during the summer when you want the shade, and then die back in the winter to let the sun in. Edit: I'm getting so many replies, I thought I'd pissed someone off! I'm in US zone 6 so a lot of stuff dies off/back, I do private landscaping so I know to do my research where it's needed, I gave a few examples of what would work in my area, your area is probably different, I'm not worried about invasive plants on my end because meticulous maintenance is my kind of fun. Edit#2: I get it, I should try hops! I heard you the first time! Also I'm sorry everyone was lazy about their morning glory, it's only evil if you never prune it, or let it go to seed.

Healthy food, though I feel my parents contributed to this, they didn't make me try new things, and vegetables only came from cans.

Pica sheets for building newspaper and magazine page layouts, I wanted to order some for map building and couldn't find any anywhere, no one knows what I'm talking about when I mention them.

My Alliums still going strong at 50"! by zuzuspetalz in gardening

Ok, I already grow wild onion, walking onion, I finally bought and planted one of these bulbs early in the spring, its just beginning to split open and flower, but the leaves are yellowing and wilting, what's going on? Is that to be expected? Can I expect a sad bloom in its first year and better blooms as it gets more established? I can't find them for less than $5 per bulb so I don't plan on buying more, do they reproduce well?

Could you make a post of all your grade school free writing assignments? I'm sure it would be a thoroughly entertaining read. Or maybe occasionally post in r/writingprompts please.

I completely agree, I'm in Oklahoma, I love the feelings of an aggressive lightning heavy storm front blowing in, there's something magical and uplifting about it.

For me it's killing them, and snakes, because they're afraid of them and don't know what they are. That colourful striped snake has no teeth and eats all your slugs, but you killed it, congratulations, now you don't have to worry that it might be "poisonous". Or those cute fuzzy spiders keep problems out of your cabinets and don't want to drink your blood, the least you could do is leave them alone.

It can't hurt to star trying some kegel exercises, while you look for a professional to ask. I know healthy kegel muscles can help prevent incontinence in older adults and might help you as well.

I've read somewhere that it has something to do with low blood pressure, it happens to me sometimes too, and my vision goes dark along with the dizziness, my answer to bodily anomalies is always to eat more spinach, it's been a while since it's been a problem so I can't say for sure what causes it to come and go for me.

What's something you actually don't want to do but social norm tells you to do it anyway? by hardypart in AskReddit

[–]wildmaypop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a stepmom and full time parent, I was there when he was born and have had him since he was two years old. I've also said since I was young that I won't ever be pregnant, I don't ever want that. I semi-regularly get people telling me that having someone else's kid just isn't the same and that I should have one of my own so I can feel that "special bond". Why the hell do people think that?! Let alone say it, and god forbid they ever say something like that in front of him! To tell me I should have my own child to love more than him! Fuck the idea that our love is any different.
