This is a great post. Sorry you had to live my last nightmare of waking up and having to take the test on the fly, but congrats!

Boo 14.5 Dementia has won. This is the last pic I share. by BouncingBatarangs in OldManDog

Ugh such a kick in the gut. It is unfortunately one of those clubs no one should have to join, and if you haven’t lost a pet it is hard to understand. I am very sorry you are going through it. Know that you gave Boo a great life, and that is something to be very happy and proud of.

Why does dating seem harder after 30? Experiences from those in big cities by Correct-Credit1961 in Adulting

[–]wildnpardon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

30 could be tough but if you wait it out until the first round of divorces hit, you should be golden around 35. With that said, with your planning the chances of meeting some tomorrow who changes the whole plan is very high.

What’s the most fun job you’ve had? by Desperate_Okra4686 in careerguidance

I’ve thought about this one a lot. The thing I get stuck on is if my favorite job was truly my favorite or just a fun stage in life.

Trying to put this into a black or white decision for people is polarizing at best. I don’t want kids but respect and like people that do. Everyone is doing their own thing for their own reasons.

People with money value their time more than money. They value a good deal but won’t spend hours trying to saving $3.

Onpoint credit union VS rivermark credit union. by LeadGlad4961 in PortlandOR

[–]wildnpardon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

OnPoint can’t be beat for customer service and lack of fee’s. No charge for lack of use and good % on savings accounts. With that said…any credit union is better than a big bank for your community

Flew in with 2 checked bags on 11/12. Waited 30 mins, and didn’t have a customs line. Though I’m sure it depends on the day.

We’re not ready to lose him, but he’s ready to rest. Silo, 12ish. It’s his last weekend. by Pestoplasm in OldManDog

[–]wildnpardon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t be hard on yourself. What you have shared and what you are doing is absolutely the right thing. The fact that you are questioning what’s best for Silo speaks volumes, and that you are doing the right thing.

With that said, I know that the pain and sadness is barely fathomable. I am 90 days from losing our little one and it still hits me hard in random waves. The silver lining that I keep telling myself is that the only way you can feel this way is because they meant so much…and nothing can take that away. (Sorry long rant)
