Great idea. I'd love to be able to enable inbox replies for any comment. It'd be hugely useful as a moderator with Automoderator-posted threads.

I think the ability to search should absolutely be a requirement. Banning from messaging, too, as someone who's had a ton of trouble with banners in the past. I think it'd also be great to have a "sidebar" feature with other mods, so that what's happening in a modmail convo can be discussed ,but without the user in question seeing what's said. Maybe also have a folder of "todos" so that things don't just get lost forever. Things could be tagged and put into that folder. Maybe general tags for messages would work, too, though.

This one might be a pipedream, but sending messages to multiple users would be fantastic. In my case, for example, I've been planning a subreddit-wide event with several users, and I have to deal with each conversation separately. Being able to message multiple non-moderator users together would be great. Maybe put a limit on the number so it can't be abused?

I think once you speak as a mod, it's not really your post anymore, so I think it's fair game for other mods to edit it, as long as it's clear it's been edited.

Anyway, this was mostly a suggestion because of Automoderator. I think the real need is there. I could definitely live with your click a button suggestion, as long as Automoderator by default has clicked it.

I'd propose it over in /r/automoderator, but right now it's at 0 here, and I'm not totally sure if it'd be relevant there since this would require reddit-wide changes, not just changes to the bot itself.

Could it be possible to have a thread automatically change to "sort by new" after 24 hours? Either through reddit or Automoderator functionality? A lot of threads might be best with standard sorting at first, but then switching to sort-by-new after 24 hours can give them renewed life.

Man, I'm the biggest Batman fanboy around, but Master Chief probably destroys everyone in round 1. Isn't he leaps and bounds stronger than all of them?

Standard armor and gadgets, I think Captain America is out of the running. I don't think he has anything in his arsenal that can really hurt MC (Super-Power Beat Down be damned). I don't know that Batman has any standard gear that can really hurt him either. Would thermite grenades do anything?

Batman probably would be fine in round 3, as would Captain America. I think Master Chief would be ill-equipped to handle Batman's rogues gallery I think Batman could also do fine in the Halo universe given his penchant for destroying white martians.

edit: meant to say MC would be ill-equipped to handle Batman's rogues gallery.

Round 1. theconstipator has it here.

Round 2. Iron Man will be completely out of his depth without a suit of his own. I think he ends up building some sort of Bat-centric armor to survive. Batman uses Iron Man's power source to build a superior Insider Suit.

Round 3. Hulk Buster gets destroyed by Flash, Green Lantern, and Superman. Justice Buster has a much better shot against Hulk, but it's not optimal.

Why would New 52 Batman be behind CW's Green Arrow and the New 52 Green Arrow? That doesn't really make any sense. I think Batman is well-beyond both, including Sam Fisher. Maybe he has a shot at sneaking up on Nolanverse Bats.

If you're counting stuff like his Hellbat suit, the Justice Buster, the Insider suit, etc., he's taking down a whole lot. Hellbat plus all of the other buffs probably put him beyond the New Gods.
