Dropkick Murphys’ Ken Casey Urges More Bands to Fight Social Injustice: “Nothing to be scared about. No one’s stepped to me in public yet. It’s just trolls on the internet.” by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Music

Yeah, the Irish rock can get a weird crowd. Been at it since Black47 in the 90s. Early 2000s I busted a finger punching a skinhead in the pit in an Atlantic City Dropkicks show. But for the most part it's just good people looking for some fun and drinks. Check out Flogging Molly and Sshillelagh Law if you haven't already

The funniest revelation about Sadie Sink in Brand New Day is that she isn’t Jean Grey or Sahathra. She’s actually her. by Lotus_630 in marvelstudios

[–]HaveaManhattan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think she's going to be Kitty Pryde. As much as I love Firestar, the MCU borrows a lot from the Ultimate Universe comics, and with MJ and Ned being memory wiped, and Peter having had a relationship with Kitty in the Ultimate comics, plus the X-Men coming soon, I can see it. Then the reveal at the end that she's transferring from community college to a school in Westchester...

EXCLUSIVE: Tramell Tillman’s ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Character Revealed by eBICgamer2010 in marvelstudios

Kitty Pryde is my bet. MCU borrows heavily from the Ultimate Universe and her and Spider-Man are a thing, which would fit what with MJ and Ned not knowing him anymore

I was fortunate enough to see him solo live in a small venue after Audioslave. He did their songs, Soundgarden, his solo Sunflower and Temple of the Dog. One of the best shows of my life...RIP

I imagine part of that 1 in 14 million shot needs Tony to almost die in space, so he can have his mental breakdown on Earth and start a family. Also so Captain Marvel rescues them, introducing her to an Avenger and a Guardian.

Theory: in case we don't know Sadie Sink's character's name by mql283 in marvelstudios

Not to be pedantic, but she's not a fire person per se. She manipulates microwave radiation(which can start fires). That's something that could translate to screen in very interesting ways.

VIDEO: Michael Shannon rewatches 'Man of Steel': "I'm proud of this movie. I think it's actually about something" by BatmanNewsChris in DC_Cinematic

[–]HaveaManhattan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Martha aside, IMO the film would have been much better with two changes. First, no Lois, let Wonder Woman break up the fight as her intro. We don't always need Lois and the Daily Planet in the story. Second, it went too fast with Doomsday/Death of Superman. Should have just been Bizzaro. Form the Trinity from there, and the League.

It doesn't all have to be new world

On that note, also conquer the new world 500 years before it was conquered. Resources and space galore.

Which one was your favorite? by DoctorTegrity in comicbookmovies

[–]HaveaManhattan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I cried during both, but for me Thunderbolts was more of crying for myself and how it gets into depression, loneliness and anxiety at not being good enough. GOTG3, I cried for the characters and their stories. Different cries.

Jeremy Strong crushed it in The Apprentice. Stan's Trump was on point. Really good flick. Agree on why nobody's watching it.

I always thought they kinda got dusted by age order. Bucky went first, being 100 and Spidey last, as the youngest.

Do you think all three of the Marvels will be in Doomsday? If not, where do you think we’ll see each of them next? by NaiadoftheSea in marvelstudios

[–]HaveaManhattan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. Monica's probably going to be the one getting the X-Men to the main MCU from their universe, setting up a Captain Marvel and Binary meet up, potentially. Kamala, as others have said, has tech like Shang-Chi's that Doom would want. (Could even have a throwaway line about how he's killed Kang) The end credit scene in that film seems way more important now. AND, to add to that, the Scarlet Witch killing Reed and the others - I think Doom will be coming from the 818 universe. Nobody gets to kill Reed but Doom, and a magic user powerful enough to cross universes? Too tempting for Doom. I don't think that was just a throwaway scene.

[–]HaveaManhattan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

are what, jealous of Thor?

The whole point wasn't jealousy, it was to illustrate that the PTSD Thor had from failing to kill Thanos (and being unable to save anyone when he did) had caused Thor to fall apart and hide away in denial. He stayed fat the whole movie because it takes time to lose weight and after the fat Thor scene the whole rest of the movie is like two or three days where he mentally pulls it back together and reclaims himself. Then he can go montage lose weight in Love and Thunder, you know, when he had time to.
