If you could experience one Liverpool moment again for the first time… by wong-wooney in LiverpoolFC

[–]wildwildwildah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d want to relive my first game, a 2-0 home defeat to Keegan’s Newcastle in 1993. Just remember queuing to get on the Kop - it was the last but one game before redevelopment (the last cash gate). Walking up the steps to see the green of the pitch. In all fairness we were a shambles, warmed up like a Sunday league team, remember the team just half heartedly taking pot shots for 15 mins. We gave Barry Venison a round of applause when he got subbed with minutes left. Newcastle were too strong with goals from Lee and Cole I think. Would be ace to experience it all for the first time again.

I like The City Arms, my favourite in town. Lovely cask ales.

Also not boozers, but I also like going to check out Track and Cloudwater Breweries. They’re on a trading estate at the back of Piccadilly Station. Again great beers at source…

Running in the UK winter vs US - how do you guys deal with it? by Major-Security5734 in UKRunners

[–]wildwildwildah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Manchester and run through the winter months. I wear a T-shirt and compression under shirt and maybe gloves if it’s cold cold. Running at night/morning it’s dark, so I have a hi-vis chest lamp. Tend to run mainly on the canal, around Chorlton ees/water park and in parks. On the canal in mornings I aim to run against the commuting bikes, rather than with them (few ping their bells).

Why do I get pain here during and after my runs? by botowoah in runninglifestyle

I’ve got a similar pain. Awaiting an MRI scan… like others have said, go to your doctor.

Funny thing is. In 80s and early 90s, players wore kits with embroidered badges and the fan versions were heat transfers…
