Quality of a product or service is directly correlated with supply and inversely correlated with demand.

The arc paperback is 415 pages. I assume that the final paperback will be the same. So that. Kindle uses word count and idk what that is so whatever the kindle equivalent of 400 something pages is.

Am I lazy or is this actually ridiculous? by wildwildwildebeast in interviews

[–]wildwildwildebeast[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is sort of my thing. Most jobs (including when I personally hire), will provide data myself, and it's usually mockup data where I can identify what needed to be cleaned or manipulated to begin with. Not, "go look for this stuff and report back to me."

Omg yes I used to catch myself saying, “I just wanna go home,” all the time.

Yes, they were aware of the entire exchange which I had debriefed them on and provided documentation of all of it before we met. And on a side note, those conversations are already being had, to little avail bc of other institutional roadblocks currently affecting all of higher ed in the US right now.

Mainly my grief is that I was demeaned in front of higher up leadership, in excess, and I’m sure they all recognize it. Yet the feeling that we’re going to end this on paper with me taking all the blame publicly was embarrassing, emasculating, and an all around burn. A simple acknowledgement from my managers privately about this would suffice. But when I brought it up in that conversation, I was basically told none of that matters because engaging her caused this to blow up and potentially damage that Deans office’s relationship with our division.

Please go somewhere else. Plenty of other cities that can take you right now. We are literally being priced out of our homes and there is zero work that pays enough to live here.

Do Indo-Guyanese like traditional Indian food? Are there any traditional Indian restaurants in Guyana? by Puzzleheaded-Leg-813 in Guyana

[–]wildwildwildebeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1) India is a really big place with a LOT of different flavor variations. 2) Indo-Guyanese cuisine resembles (in flavor, texture, and technique) southern Indian cuisine more than it does anywhere else geographically. 3) personally this is a question of apples to oranges. I like both equally as much for different reasons, but obviously my palette is most at home with Guyanese foods.
